Spinning-Star Sky
- Star Coin 1: Jump from the spinning star onto a Para-Koopa, then to the coin.
- Star Coin 2: Use the Super Acorn to reach a hidden vine block leading to the coin.
- Star Coin 3: Found near the Snapdragons at the end of the row.
Cooligan Fields
- Star Coin 1: Easy to spot. Ice Flower or Baby Yoshi helps.
- Star Coin 2: Between two pipes—jump from block to reach it.
- Star Coin 3: Use upper blocks during the ice slide section.
Freezing-Rain Tower
- Star Coin 1: On second moving platform.
- Star Coin 2: Move quickly before it disappears.
- Star Coin 3: Hidden left path instead of following coins.
Prickly Goombas!
- Star Coin 1: Enter pipe after defeating Spike Top with Fire Flower.
- Star Coin 2: Requires Yoshi found after checkpoint.
- Star Coin 3: Use Yoshi jump to collect.
Scaling the Mountainside
- Star Coin 1: Glide using Super Acorn.
- Star Coin 2: Found above Bullet Bills.
- Star Coin 3: Hidden path in rock formation.
Icicle Caverns
- Star Coin 1: Reach hidden area before icicle blocks path.
- Star Coin 2: Enter pipe near Ice Bro.
- Star Coin 3: Reach end before icicles fall or glide upward.
Swaying Ghost House
- Star Coin 1: Hidden inside hollow block.
- Star Coin 2: Puzzle room with P-switch and doors.
- Star Coin 3: Found in secret upper room.
- Secret Exit: Continue past third coin to unlock alternate path.
Wendy’s Shifting Castle
- Star Coin 1: Behind falling stone block before checkpoint.
- Star Coin 2: Enter green pipe via hidden block.
- Star Coin 3: Found after green pipe on moving platforms.
Fliprus Lake (Secret Level)
- Star Coin 1: Hanging above path.
- Star Coin 2: Freeze enemies to reach upper path.
