World 3 — Spooky Trails

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle guide hub

Follow World 3 in order, then return for the secret chapter and the routes opened by Beep-0’s new exploration ability.

In this world

Spooky Trails — preparation

Peek-a-Boos teleport between useful firing positions; Valkyries can protect nearby enemies and land damaging jumps. Boos are separate environmental hazards that can teleport a character to a random battlefield position. Avoid them when a precise route matters; if one catches a hero, reassess cover and movement after the teleport.

Use Luigi for distant targets, Rabbid Peach for recovery or Rabbid Mario for grouped enemies. Keep at least one Rabbid alongside Mario. Honey and Stone help control movement, while Freeze disables techniques rather than stopping every enemy action.

Chapter 3-1: Looking for Mr. Tom Phan

The opening battle ends when the required number of enemies has fallen. Activate M-Power while allies are in range, then spread to the firing positions you need. Luigi can hold high ground with Steely Stare while a close-range character handles enemies near the starting side.

Use explosive cover when it damages several enemies without catching an ally. Once reinforcements arrive, finish injured or exposed targets instead of crossing the entire arena for a fresh enemy. Afterward, explore the graveyard paths and remember cracked rocks for the later Smash ability.

Chapter 3-2: Peek-a-Boo!

Approach the teleporting enemies from more than one angle. Use range, elevated positions and secondary weapons to reduce their chance of surviving a turn and reappearing behind new cover. Avoid leaving several heroes in one line where the same enemy can threaten them all.

In the Boo arena, inspect the ghost routes before confirming movement. An accidental teleport can leave Luigi exposed or place a hero near a Smasher. Use pipes for predictable travel instead of relying on a Boo to deliver a hero to a particular landing. Finish the enemies controlling the next safe position before moving the whole group.

Chapter 3-3: Benefits of Getting Lost

Escort Toadette through the marsh rather than treating the mission as a full enemy clear. She cannot attack or perform Team Jumps. Bring Itchy Feet for her movement and keep a healing character close enough to recover her after unavoidable damage.

Remove Peek-a-Boos controlling the next pipe exit or covered stopping point. Keep heroes ahead to clear the route, but do not move them so far away that they cannot protect Toadette. Check Boo paths before her final position; a teleport away from the intended pipe can cost another turn. Rabbid Peach’s Shield protects Rabbid Peach herself, so use her Heal for the escort rather than relying on Shield to cover everyone.

Chapter 3-4: Madame Bwahstrella

The first encounter rewards movement toward the marked area. Use Itchy Feet, pipes and the heroes’ Team Jumps to bypass irrelevant enemies. Maintain one useful jumping partner on the route instead of sending Luigi so far ahead that Mario is stranded.

The next battle uses a defeat counter. Remove Supporters before they heal damaged targets, then finish reachable Peek-a-Boos and other injured enemies. Magnet Dance and close-range area damage help when several targets gather, but leave room for your own heroes to escape the next enemy turn.

Chapter 3-5: Introducing El Calavera!

Calavera’s coffin lid blocks frontal weapon shots. Use pipes or Team Jumps to approach from a side and obtain a second firing angle. His explosive attack threatens heroes standing close together, and his scream can force them out of cover.

Remove a Peek-a-Boo or other helper when it controls the route behind the shield. Then concentrate the team’s damage on Calavera, with M-Power activated before allies spread out. Use healing or a protective technique when the next enemy phase would defeat a hero. The mission ends when the boss falls; killing every distant helper is unnecessary.

Winning frees Rabbid Yoshi. His multiple Dashes and Scaredy Rabbid technique can break up an enemy group, while his Rumblebang damage varies between its displayed minimum and maximum.

Chapter 3-6: Double-Barreled

Valkyries protect nearby allies and can deal damage around a jump landing. Spread your heroes, separate a Valkyrie from its protected group with forced movement and focus a target whose protection you can overcome that turn.

Rabbid Yoshi can Dash several enemies before firing. Scaredy Rabbid can trigger prepared reaction shots when it makes enemies move, but check the consequences if a Smasher is among them. In the second fight, avoid Boo routes that would move a hero back into the dangerous group after the attack.

Chapter 3-7: Every Treasure Has Its Thorn

In the first encounter, Bucklers and Valkyries cover different weaknesses. Remove or separate the Valkyries, then flank the Bucklers. A Boomshot or hammer is effective against a clustered group only when the user can survive the resulting enemy turn and avoid friendly fire.

The second fight ends at the required defeat count. Use Dashes against the front enemies, finish damaged targets and allow distant reinforcements to remain once the objective is nearly complete. A Smasher must stay outside its effective hammer reach after every chase, not merely before the first shot.

Chapter 3-8: Moonlight Sonata

Move toward the goal through the upper platforms and pipe network. Luigi’s mobility is useful, with Mario and a Rabbid maintaining a chain of jumping positions. Remove the Peek-a-Boo that controls the final passage rather than spending turns clearing enemies behind you.

Avoid the Boos when committing the runner; their random destinations are unreliable for a precise finish. After the battle, follow the clock-tower puzzle and the changing moonlit route to the Moon Gate. Continue when the path opens instead of repeatedly returning to an earlier relic gate.

Chapter 3-BOSS: Opening Night!

The Phantom is immune while the active spotlights illuminate him. Reach and destroy their generators before spending attacks on the boss. The sequence adds more generators each phase: one, then two, then three. The supporting enemies change from Valkyries to Bucklers and Peek-a-Boos.

Divide the heroes between the generator routes while keeping safe landing positions. Disable all lights, then combine M-Power and focused attacks on the vulnerable Phantom. His area attack can Push characters out of cover, so do not leave the healer and an injured ally beside each other.

Watch Stone Deaf, the reaction technique that petrifies the first moving hero in range. Super Barrier can protect Rabbid Luigi when available; otherwise use cover and a route outside the reaction line instead of sacrificing an essential runner’s turn. Repeat the generator-and-damage cycle through the third health bar. Winning grants Beep-0’s Smash ability.

Secret Chapter 3-S: Secret Swamp

Return to the Slime Swamp section after obtaining Smash. Use the switch and narrow path near the earlier route, break the cracked rocks and take the newly accessible pipe into the secret chapter.

Clear the first arena with concentrated damage and careful control of its Smashers. Use pipes and safe firing distances; a reaction chain is helpful only if the pursuing enemy cannot reach the shooter. In the second encounter, eliminate a Supporter and break the Valkyries’ protective formation before committing the main damage turn against Calavera.

Get a side or rear angle around the coffin shield, keep heroes separated against the explosives and finish the boss. Collect the chapter’s chests and rewards before returning to the overworld.

After World 3

Smash opens cracked rocks in earlier worlds as well as Spooky Trails. Revisit blocked side paths, complete the ten regular Challenges and use the Time Washing Machine for earlier ratings. Buy the new weapons and distribute Power Orbs before entering Lava Pit.

For the late battles, carry a plan for healing, long-range pressure and movement. More raw damage is useful, but leaving a fragile hero exposed can cost the Perfect rating even when the turn limit is met.
