The Cotton Top Cove is almost all about water. Underwater caves, waterfalls and dangerous klasps make the world much more challenging.
Bazza’s Blockade
Bazzas shoot in long rows from the openings of the underwater cave. Observe their distances and swim between two groups.
Bonus #1: Below a curved row of bananas, a series of bazzos swims past. Wait for a gap and dip down to the hidden bonus barrel.
Bonus #2: After the star barrel you will find an Enguarde barrel below a red coco. Turn and then swim up and back to the left.
DK Coin: Swims further to the right after the destination. Koin is waiting there.
Rocket Barrel Ride
Rocket barrels carry you up at the falls. Align the barrels carefully before you get shot down.
Bonus #1: After the O, several cocos on the left lead to the bonus barrel.
Bonus #2: Bring Parry to the appropriate ban sign if possible. Immediately afterwards you can jump behind the following barrel and reach the bonus.
DK Coin: Near the G you will find a metal barrel on the left. Carry it to the right below the automatic barrel, throw it up and then jump into the barrel itself. So you can catch Koin from behind.
Kreeping Klasps
The Klasps move on the ropes directly towards you. Change the page in time or jump over it.
Bonus #1: Two buzzes are visible above a rope. Above these Enemies is the Bonus Barrel.
Bonus #2: After the star barrel, a bonus barrel lies below the bridge. You can reach it with Dixie’s helicopter flight or the automatic barrel nearby.
DK Coin: The required metal barrel lies to the right of the target flag.
Tracker Barrel Trek
The tracking barrels track your position. Do not use it hastily, but stand where the barrel should shoot you.
Bonus #1: After driving far up behind a waterfall, you glide to the right with Dixie.
Bonus #2: After the transformation in Ellie, you will find a moving barrel behind one of the next waterfalls. Defeat the Buzzes with Ellie’s water jet and then use the barrel.
DK Coin: Definitely turn into Ellie. At the later Prohibition Shield, she turns back and leaves the metal barrel you need for Koin.
Fish Food Frenzy
Nibbla follows you through the entire level. Keep him happy by regularly feeding him the right fish.
If Nibbla becomes too hungry, he turns increasingly red and can finally attack you.
Bonus #1: Some time after the K you will find the first bonus to the right of a vertically floating shell.
Bonus #2: After the G, there is the second bonus barrel above another vertically floating shell.
DK Coin: At the end of the level, you have to throw your partner on the left raise.
Boss: Squirt’s Showdown
The entire fight is played with Ellie.
Soak up water in time and shoot it in Squirt’s eyes. After a hit, the waterfall turns and you have to stay on the platforms.
His water jets try to push Ellie off the cliff. Run against the current and pay more attention to your position than to Squirt itself.
After the win you get the second ski. If you have both skis, Funky builds the turboski from it, with which you can climb waterfalls.
Bounty Bay and Blue
From Blues Hut you can swim straight north. There hides the crystal cave Bounty Bay with another banana bird.
Blue also needs the present of Blizzard from K3 later. If you bring it to him, you get a bowling ball, which in turn is needed for Bazooka in Mekanos.
