Follow World 5 in the original SNES version of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. Finish each course with thirty stars, twenty red coins and five flowers for one hundred points. Collect all three requirements in the same clear; separate attempts do not combine their counts.
The full-size maps below show the course branches and collectible positions. Open a map to inspect a narrow passage, and open the accompanying video when you need to see a timed jump in motion.
World 5-1 — BLIZZARD!!!
Pound through the early rock blocks for the first flower, then follow the snowy climb past the penguins. Break the key crate on the upper ledges and continue to the rolling Chomp Rocks. Clear each slope before committing to its landing.
Before entering the cave door, use the cloud route on the left to reach a pipe. Its helicopter room holds five red coins; reveal the morph bubble in the Winged Cloud and collect those before leaving. In the ice cave, use the blue watermelons and eggs to clear enemies and dangerous icicles. Search the flower clouds around the Middle Ring.
Outside again, shoot the red-coin Fly Guys and pound the post before the Pokeys. Use the vacant Lakitu cloud to reach the upper pipe and its coin area. In the last stretch, reveal the switch above the Spring Ball and collect the temporary-route red coins before the blocks disappear.

World 5-2 — Ride The Ski Lifts
Roll the snowy Chomp Rock right through the enemies and into the dip; stand on it to reach the high ledge and Middle Ring. In the next area, inspect both sides of the cloud platforms before boarding the ski lifts. The flower clouds and coins are spread along the cable rather than only at its end.
Where a switch fills the coin enclosure with solid blocks, let the effect expire before collecting the trapped coins. Beyond the next Middle Ring, check the tree platform for a concealed switch and its side tunnel, then return to the snowy lift route.
Ride each cable far enough to collect its lower and upper coin groups. Jump to the next chair before the current cable turns away, watching the Dr. Freezegoods riding toward you. The late flowers sit near cable turns and flying Bumpties. Near the end, board the chair carrying a Dr. Freezegood to reach the high final red coin before following the cable through the goal.

World 5-3 — Danger – Icy Conditions Ahead
Use the red watermelon’s fire to melt clear ice around blocked items. Preserve its limited shots for ice that actually obstructs the route; do not spend the entire supply on enemies. Check the pockets around the buckets, water and Piranhas before leaving the opening area.
After the Middle Ring, melt the flower’s ice and use the Super Star to take Baby Mario through the next course. Search toward the helicopter bubble before committing to the door into the ski-lift area, then collect the high aerial coins during the flight.
The final section puts Yoshi on skis. Take the coin line that leads through the flowers and jump early enough to clear the rocks and gaps. Once the ski run is moving, you cannot walk back uphill for a missed coin. Use the map to inspect its alternate heights before starting a scoring attempt.

World 5-4 — Sluggy The Unshaven’s Fort
Before shooting a staircase cloud, search the ground beneath its future steps. The stairs can close off low passages. Use the pipe to reset the room if you build them too early. Above the first stairs, jump left for the red coin and collect the flower over spikes with an egg. Enter the side pipe and defeat the Sluggies for another flower.
Ride the platforms across the spikes, checking both the high coin trail and the low route. At the pair of staircase clouds, the upper-left stairs lead directly to the Middle Ring, but that shortcut misses red coins. Explore the right-hand approach first, collecting the coins at both branches before joining the checkpoint route.
Stay with the Support Ghost as it moves and stretches; reach the high items before it departs. Sluggy’s body pushes Yoshi toward the pit. Aim repeatedly at the visible heart to dent the gel, then hit the heart through that opening. Recover the bouncing eggs or refill at the left Egg Plant. Four heart hits defeat him; contact does not drain stars, but being pushed off the platform costs a life.

World 5-5 — Goonie Rides!
Ride a Goonie to the high pipe in the opening area. In its room, defeat every Bumpty sliding in ice to reveal a flower. Return outside and search the ground around the Piranhas before taking the helicopter transformation beyond the Middle Ring.
The helicopter section contains red coins and two flowers at different heights. Sweep the whole aerial route before reaching the Yoshi Block, keeping away from Goonies and Needlenoses that can spoil the flight.
After the next Middle Ring, shoot the flower beyond the Piranha and activate the switches for the block routes. Collect the coins before a temporary path disappears. Ride the last Goonie up to the high ledge for the final flower, then land near the Goal Ring with thirty stars remaining.

World 5-6 — Welcome To Cloud World
The first cloud section scrolls automatically. Collect the opening flower and red coins before the camera leaves them, and use the Shy-Guy pipes for eggs. At a flower guarded by a Slugger, wait for its swing or fire from an angle that bypasses the bat.
Search the flower clouds near the other Sluggers and use Huffin Puffins as returning projectiles when egg supplies are awkward. Stay ahead of the paired Lakitus without running into the falling Needlenoses.
After the Middle Ring, ride the balloon up to the tall pipes. Make the Green Glove’s return throw strike the green block to flip the spiked platform, then repeat the idea with the red block and red platforms. Collect the red coins beside the pipes before continuing. Clear the last Piranha between the final pair of pipes and take the flower there before crossing the goal.

World 5-7 — Shifting Platforms Ahead
Start leftward across the moving platforms, keeping clear of the Ravens and falling blocks. Ride a Goonie to the high bonus pipe; its room contains a flower and coin route above spikes. Use the switch blocks before returning to the main platform course.
After the green paddle wheel drops, board the yellow ferry. As the Raven comes into view, transfer to the red ferry heading up-left for two red coins, then return to the yellow route. Continue through the aerial enemies to the next pipe.
Break the blue wall inside with eggs for the hidden flower and coins. Beyond the Middle Ring, inspect both the high and low sides of the falling-platform course. Ride the dropping platform left of the first Bullet Bill low enough to collect its red coins, then jump right before it carries you too far down. The last flower is still in this falling-platform section, before the goal cannon.

World 5-8 — Raphael The Raven’s Castle
Climb the outdoor platforms without waiting on the unstable stone pillars. Inside the castle, use the Shy-Guy pipe for eggs and watch the Blow Hards below the ledges. Check left of the bouncing Bullet Bill cannon for a flower, then use the Spring Ball and Bullet Bill bounces to reach the red coins and flower high on the left.
Explore the lower Train route before taking the upper Middle Ring shortcut. Collect its flower and red coins, pass through the flippers and let the transformation expire; this room has no Yoshi Block. Resume the tower climb and search around the final Goonies before entering the boss door.
On Raphael’s moon, line him up with the far end of a wooden post, then ground-pound the near end to strike him. Three hits win. Jump over the shockwaves from his ground slam and move around the moon to avoid being rammed. He speeds up after each hit, so wait for a clear alignment instead of chasing him continuously.
