Walkthrough
- Enter the purple gas to reduce gravity. Walk out to draw a gas trail behind Yoshi, then guide that trail through nearby groups of creatures.
- Expose five creature groups to the gas for the three-star goal. Watch the reaction and discovery notice at each group before moving on; repeating the same group does not replace a new one.
- Use the slower fall in the gas for the shaft's blue tokens. Guide gas around the roots and trees to expose the other flower routes.
- Keep the fire experiment until you are ready. Lead a continuous trail from the flame through the hole to the underground rock; ignition travels along the gas and blows the barrier apart.

Smiley Flower 1 — Shaft switch
Shaft switch: activate the red ! Switch and use the gas's low gravity to collect the full token route.
Smiley Flower 2 — Trees near the fire
Trees near the fire: bring gas into the vegetation to reveal the flower.
Smiley Flower 3 — Middle root bud
Middle root bud: throw a Crazee Dayzee at the bud to open the flower route.
Smiley Flower 4 — Underground rock
Underground rock: connect the fire and the buried rock with an unbroken gas trail, then ignite it.
Creatures and additional discoveries
Fish, butterflies, Springhoppers and Bunchabees react to the gas, while plants can wilt. Water shrinks Billeau and sunlight is another weakness. The explosion is a flower puzzle; the habitat's main research goal is spreading gas to the required creature groups.
