Bug Country opens at 167 discovery stars. Each habitat tests a different way of moving or catching something: escape a hunter, use spring recoil, swing from a sticky web, grow a living net, throw a returning creature and fly through wind currents. Flowers beyond a gate or an apparent escape point still count, so explore those final sections before entering the goal.

Behedger Habitat
Enter the ruins and learn Behedger's attack range. Hide in grass, a hollow trunk, a vase, the well or mud to break its line of sight; lure it to an obstacle before stepping aside.

Swirm Habitat
Pull a Swirm out of its spiral to extend its spring-like body. Bounce from its end and watch the direction of the launch; horizontal and diagonal arrangements send Yoshi along different paths.

Stickiwick Habitat
Carry a Stickiwick and throw its web orb at a wall or overhead surface. Once attached, swing Yoshi beneath it; release and throw again to move between anchors.

Mawstalk Habitat
Carry Mawstalk like a net and swing its mouth over insects. Feed it different types, including butterflies, Springhoppers, Bunchabees, fish and Upshoots, to make it grow.

Slugarang Habitat
Carry and throw Slugarang. Its hard body follows an arc and returns, so line up targets for both the outgoing and returning paths.

Wooshwing Habitat
Ride Wooshwing and use short upward inputs to climb; holding the direction longer makes a loop. Practise a turn and a descent before heading into the strong updraft.
