Walkthrough
- Break the gelatinous eggs trailing behind Gobbobble. Kamek is trapped in the first phase; release him before attacking the exposed underside with a Ground Pound.
- After the first hit, the creature returns with a new egg chain and begins jumping. Open the egg holding the flower before landing another hit.
- In the third phase, free Bowser Jr. Rescuing both captives is the three-star goal. Destroy the remaining egg chain and Ground Pound the exposed underside for the third hit if you want to finish the fight.
- Explore the inner nest afterwards. Pop the central bubble, then chain Bounseed bounces to the hidden high platform.

Smiley Flower 1 — Egg chain
Egg chain: break the egg containing the flower during the second combat phase.
Smiley Flower 2 — Nest bubble
Nest bubble: Ground Pound the large bubble in the inner nest.
Smiley Flower 3 — High nest platform
High nest platform: chain the Bounseeds' full bounces and use a late Flutter Jump to reach the upper hiding place.
Creatures and additional discoveries
The egg chain stores swallowed creatures; breaking it frees them. Detonut explosions, Slugarang and other creatures offer different attacks. Try reflecting a thrown egg with the Tail Flick, and use Scatterpuff to break eggs and exhaust the boss. Collect the chain's flower before ending its phase.
