Pristine Peaks is the second planet. Use Decibel’s Wave Power to climb the mountain, stop the blizzard and enter the Winter Palace. Midnite’s defeat recruits Rabbid Rosalina. The area has seven equippable Sparks and twelve Memories; some optional routes require a later return with Palette Prime’s Scan Power.
Story walkthrough
Cold Mouth of the Mountain
Shake the question-mark tree near the WM ARC to release Decibel. Beep-0 gains Wave Power; Decibel is not equipped in battle. Move the swirl-marked block and follow the mountain path to Freeze in Your Tracks, which rewards Cryobolide.
Inside the caves, use Wave to lower blocks into crossings, move obstructions and raise a block again after passing it when the next route needs its top surface. Lower ladders as shortcuts before leaving. Continue to Wolf at the Door and win to recruit Ethering. Against Lone Wolves, inspect reaction-shot lines before moving, then use cover, protection or an indirect approach.
Follow the left pipe route through the final cave and climb toward the Lookout Point flag. In Icy Breath of Winter, throw disabled Bob-ombs at the Stone Masks or attack them from range. Time movement between their wind blasts and use cover to avoid being pushed back. Victory awards Electroid and the first energy crystal; the second Spark slot becomes available around this battle, so equip the newly opened slots before continuing.
The Winter Palace — activate both statues
Slide down from the summit and use Wave to free Captain Orion and open the frozen palace approach. Win A Cold Greeting in the entrance hall to rescue Pyrogeddon, then enter the central two-statue room.
For the statue beside the magnifying glass, take the eastern garden-maze door. Carry the green triangle to its device, then climb the freed stairs to press the activation switch.
For the other statue, take the western wing. From the balcony room, use the right-hand onward door into the wide windowed corridor. Smash the cracked wall on the left with Wave and enter the exposed door. In the candlelit room with the golden Rabbid, break the ice wall to reach the second activation switch. Return to the central hall.
Constellations and Midnite Library
Use the device at the top of the hall’s stairs. Rotate the three constellation discs until the outlines join into a complete pattern; correct connections turn gold. The central door opens to the library.
Rabbid Rosalina joins for Midnite’s battle, giving you a fourth participant. Fight through the successive arenas rather than treating the first empty health bar as the final win. Midnite teleports, so use Team Jumps and range to keep attacking without abandoning safe cover. Rabbid Rosalina’s Ennui can disable a troublesome enemy; do not immediately wake that target with a low-value hit.
Keep healing and protection available before the transition to the next arena. Remove an enemy blocking the route or threatening an isolated hero, then focus available damage on Midnite. Winning awards the second crystal and permanently recruits Rabbid Rosalina.
Sparks on Pristine Peaks
Cryobolide, Ethering, Electroid and Pyrogeddon come from the story. Zephystar is the reward for Dr. Vent’s Frozen Oddity, Regenesis for Hide N’ Squeak and Vampdash for the Secret Zone. Decibel grants Wave Power and is not a battle Spark.

Side quests and hidden routes
Winter Palace Hidden Hallway
From the two-statue hall, take the western door. Use Wave on the cracked wall in the wing and open the propeller chest behind it.
Brothers in Arms
Complete the optional Mario-and-Luigi battle on the mountain route. Use Mario’s mobility and Luigi’s long-range damage from elevated cover. Keep them within useful Team Jump reach and do not spend both weapon actions before moving to their intended firing positions.
Secret of the Cave
From Lookout Point, enter the nearby cave and follow the same level all the way left. Smash the cracked wall with Wave and clear the hidden Darkmess battle beyond it.
Hide N’ Squeak
Speak to Regenesis beside the lake. One penguin is behind the eastern pipe route: lower the Wave block, cross, smash the next block and take the pipe to its playground. A second is inside the Wave block across the river from SALESBOT. The third is in the tree north of the shop. Carry and throw all three onto the ship, then win View from the Lake by throwing eggs at its three Darkmess Eyes. Regenesis joins afterward.
Igloo Breakthrough
Find the Rabbid building an igloo near the Winter Palace. Collect its four ice blocks from the surrounding paths and carry them back one at a time. Search both sides of the local route and use Wave on obstructions rather than assuming every needed block lies directly beside the igloo.
Blue Coin Challenge
Near Toad Trouble, take the blue pipe into the course. Follow each coin group up through the levels and use Wave on the large blocks obstructing the route. Clear their positions before wasting the timer on an unnecessary detour.
Toad Trouble on Pristine Peaks
Cross the long southwestern bridge and descend the two ladders to the trapped Toads. Clear the Darkmess and open the nearby rewards before returning to the main route.
Darkmess at the Foot of the Mountain
West of the WM ARC, smash the blocking stones with Wave and clear the puddle. Inspect the enemy lineup and choose Sparks before starting instead of carrying the summit boss setup into every side battle.
Brawl at the Falls
Descend east below the landing area to the waterfall-side puddle. Clear the battle, prioritizing a threat that controls the necessary crossing before moving a fragile hero into the open.
Red Coin Challenge
Enter the red ring and follow all eight coins with X held to sprint. Use the route’s ledges and pipes in their intended direction rather than doubling back to the start.
Squasher Hunt
Accept the request opposite SALESBOT near the ship. Two roaming Squashers are toward the falls to the east, while another is west toward the foot-of-mountain puddle. Clear all three marked encounters and report back.
The Chillest Challenge
At the lakes northeast of SALESBOT, catch Sillyfish and throw them into the highlighted pool. Four complete the basic task; aim for seven for the additional record reward. Plan the next fish before returning to the pool.
Icy Cave of Darkmess
Explore the marked mountain cave and clear its Darkmess. Use Wave on the cave’s obstructions and check for the Memory reward before exiting.
Midwinter Gateway
From Lookout Point, enter Madame Bwahstrella’s house below. Complete the dimensional encounter using a team that can remove its enemy groups efficiently; this is a separate optional battle from the summit story.
Island of Darkmess
Take the cannon near the Winter Palace to the eastern island and clear its Darkmess. The opened route also forms the starting approach for The Vertigo Trail on a later visit.
Pristine Peaks Secret Zone
Buy the Midwinter Key and enter the Secret Zone. Use Wave to move the large marked blocks and keep access to the controls while shifting the smaller crate toward its pressure plate. Reach Vampdash, then return for the timed route and Vintage Dual Slinger skin.
The Riddle of Pristine Peaks
At the three-mask puzzle reached by the mountain cannon, set the left forehead image to a snowflake, the middle to a stone mask and the right to a mountain. The faces and images describe the riddle’s sequence; the original rotation count no longer applies if you have already changed a mask.
Who You Gonna Call?
South of the Winter Palace, climb the right-hand mountain route and take the white pipe upward. Defeat the Ghostly Walker guarding the bridge. Its special movement avoids reaction shots, so use direct or area attacks rather than relying only on Hero Sight.
Green Coin Challenge
Use the green ring south of the palace-side shop. Follow the groups down the ledge and slide, past the palace flag, then back upward. Sprint throughout and avoid stopping to collect unrelated coins.
Dr. Vent’s Frozen Oddity
Find Dr. Vent and complete the side quest’s experimental chamber. Use the eggs, switches and Wave interactions to open its blocked route, then win Catch Your Breath. Zephystar is the Spark reward; it applies Gust, not Frostbite.
Flamin’ Stooge Hunt
Accept the hunt and defeat three marked red-coated Stooges around the mountain and palace approaches. They resist Burn, so use the appropriate opposite element shown in Tacticam instead of Pyrostar.
Tiny Dancer
Return with nineteen Sparks to the golden pipe behind the entrance hall’s upper ice wall. Use Wave to reach it and defeat the Giant Squashette. Separate the team against its jumping area attack and protect the intended target. The reward includes two Gold Prisms.
The Diva and the Bookworm
In the Winter Palace library, use the white pipe to the upper floor. Win with Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Rosalina: Heal sustains the pair and Ennui disables an enemy while you deal with another. The reward includes the Steampunk Triple Troll skin.
Path of Faith
Return with Scan Power to the southwestern mountain branch. Reveal its bridges, move the large Wave block right and use it to transfer the ice block. Shift the large block left, reveal the next crossing and move the ice block onto the green plate. Scan the alcove behind the moved large block for the blue ball, carry it to the device and open the propeller chest.
Puzzle Cave on Pristine Peaks
Enter the cave north of SALESBOT. Lower the large Wave blocks, climb the ladder and push the crate onto its plate. Raise the large blocks again to rebuild the crossing to the propeller chest; lowering them opened access but does not leave the final route complete.
The Vertigo Trail
Clear Island of Darkmess, then use its lower pipe and cannon. With Scan Power, follow the footprints back toward the original cannon to reveal the yellow cube. Carry it to the far device. Use the cannon facing the ship, reveal the bridge and ladder to the egg, lower the Wave block, collect the egg and return to destroy the blocking eye. Scan the last bridge to the propeller chest.
Finish the return visit
Collect all twelve Memories, finish the Secret Zone’s second timed visit and return after obtaining Scan Power for Path of Faith and The Vertigo Trail. The nineteen-Spark gate is another later-return task. Do not confuse clearing the blizzard with completing the Winter Palace.
