Walkthrough
- Use an inflated Bafloonder to dash underwater, breaking crates and clearing Upshoots. Explore the wreck and shell cave below the starting area before entering the deeper water.
- Dash upwards against the left waterfall. Use the same speed to pass the crushing-rock corridor while it is open.
- Feed an adult a hot pepper to give it spines. This form can destroy the coral and Ouchins that block several optional routes.
- For the Big Discovery, enter the underwater volcano and swim against the current to the nesting cave at its base. Finding the nest is the main goal. Returning five wandering young Bafloonders and hatching the eggs are additional discoveries, so continue exploring if you want the whole entry.
Smiley Flower locations
The locations are listed separately from the main route so you can check a missing flower without repeating every step.
Smiley Flower 1 — Shipwreck
Shipwreck: dash through its submerged crates.
Smiley Flower 2 — Shell cave
Shell cave: break the crates covering the small cave and open the shell.
Smiley Flower 3 — Crushing corridor
Crushing corridor: dash past the slowly moving rock to the flower beyond it.
Smiley Flower 4 — Left waterfall
Left waterfall: dash up against the current and collect the flower above water.
Smiley Flower 5 — Ouchin passage
Ouchin passage: explore the far-left underwater route; use a spiny Bafloonder to clear the guards.
Smiley Flower 6 — Coral cave
Coral cave: break the coral near the wreck with the spiny form and catch the small fish carrying the flower inside.
Creatures and additional discoveries
The nest and the five lost young are different objectives; do not mistake an optional return task for the habitat's exit condition. Above water, place Bafloonder beside leaves and jump on it to expel air. Use the volcano's current for a high leap, and investigate the tunnel behind the waterfall for a token cache.
