Dreamy Pi'illo Castle

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team guide hub

Fly all the way to the right and handle a small jump-’n‘-run section. Once you stand in front of three different passes, you can browse them as you wish to grab some extra coins. Ultimately, you will have to march through the middle passageway and then through the door to your right, whereupon Dreamy Luigi will join you.

In the next room, you are again at a door that leads you to a lobby shop. Return and jump to your right against the exclamation point block, whereupon you have to compete against a few Schlummbas. While you are attacking them in the same way as the Grumbas in the real world, even experienced Mario & Luigi fans have to rethink their defense and counterattack a little:

Because you fight only with Mario in the Dream world, you can not only jump, but also move limited. Take a close look at the Schlummbas as soon as they attack you: they form a kind of T-cross. Move Mario to see the center of this T-cross right in front of him and jump up as soon as the Schlummbas have made two small hops forward. You should jump several Schlummbas on the head in this way and do a lot of counter damage.

Alternatively, it can happen that the Schlummbas attack you individually one after the other. Always wait until one stands in front of you and has made one or two jumpers forward. Jump up to avoid the attack and, ideally, counter it.

Boss Fight: Dreamy Mario

Fight against more Schlummbas in the next room and then face the dream Marios.

As soon as the fight begins and the dream Marios form in front of you, you pay attention to the one who is in the middle at the beginning. Observe exactly where he is going and then attack him with a jump attack. Attention: If one or more dream Marios swirl through the air, they will attack you shortly afterwards. In fact, they fly at high speed from obliquely up in your direction, so you have to dodge them by diligent jump.

If, on the other hand, it is the dream Marios‘ turn, then you have to expect the following scenarios:

  • The dream Marios attack you one after the other and try to ram you in a fast sprint, which you counter with well-placed jumps. That’s not all: As soon as one of the dream Marios stands directly in front of you and just stares at you, attack again all those dream Marios, which you could successfully harm with a counterjump. They fly like the dream Marios you swirled through the air after one of your attacks, from obliquely above in your direction. Accordingly, you have to jump up again several times to avoid these attacks.
  • As soon as the dream Marios disappear and you face the big, violet cloud, a small minigame starts. In this you have to collect coins and avoid fireballs. Don’t be too greedy and focus on the latter: one hit causes twice as much damage compared to a successful Dreamy Mario attack! In addition, you lose several coins, which is why a minus could come out in the end. Concentrate on the mushroom head that meets you in the meantime. This heals 30 damage points, which is more than fair especially in view of the difficult to avoid Dreamy Mario attacks.
  • If the cloud hovers right in front of you, then the game changes to a different perspective, where you run into the room from front to back. This time, blinking Marios run towards you, which you just have to skip. The cloud, on the other hand, tries to obscure your view with its fog. Try to avoid it accordingly.

Once you have made the fight, you must crush a large crystal stone on your right. Prince Dreambert brings you back to the real world. March south as well as outside up one of the two stairs to get back to the lobby of the castle. Your next destination will be Mushrise Park in the south.
