Dreamy Somnom Woods — Ascent and Zeekeeper

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team guide hub

After the victory over Pi’illodium, the Ultibed is ready in the Pi’illo Temple. Let Luigi fall asleep and jump into the dream as Mario. Zeekeeper is waiting at the top of the huge tree. For the climb you need hidden passages, the propeller and the now learned Luigi formations.Somnom Woods — Six Pi’illo Masters and Pi’illodium

The Hidden Path to the Tree

Follow Bedsmith to the right. If the visible path does not continue, talk to him and return to the area of the dream portal. To the left of it you can walk through the thick bushes. Behind it lies the green warp pipe to the next puzzle.

In the following section, Mario must not turn left during the forward path. Stay oriented to the right and orient yourself on the coin track. You can stop when a jump needs to be prepared. Depending on the chosen challenge, it is about coins or enemies; the Coin Trail will take you on the main path, while the combat task will be an additional detour. When you land again at the beginning, check first if you have changed direction on the way.

Wind, boxes and hidden platforms

In the further climb, unlock the tubes as soon as you reach them. They connect the levels and facilitate the return after a missed jump. With the box puzzles, you create wind with the propeller and push the boxes so that they form steps in front of the high walls. In the upwind passages you alternate between the air columns instead of running against the flow.

Pay particular attention to the red coin switch: collect the coins over the winds and then use the opened path. Later you can destroy boxes with the hammer. A low niche to the right of the tower leads to an attack fragment; don’t just walk past it on the top level. Behind the leaves there are other ways. Let Luigi sneeze before you leave an apparent dead-end room.

In the higher ranges you alternate between bullet, hammer and beard tree. Drag the beard tree down when Mario is to be thrown up. For superimposed outputs, make sure to also examine the lower passage. The last walls you climb with the propeller alternately right and left. A cloud journey and the green warp pipe at Bedsmith mark the final part of the ascent.

Luiginary Typhoon and Pennhennes egg

The ten attack pieces of this dream area unlock Luiginary Typhoon. Check the display after each newly reached section. If a fragment is still missing, check above all leaf hiding places, lateral niches and passageways under an already used upper level. The attack is an additional reward for thorough exploration; to trigger the giant battle, you must reach Pennhenne’s egg.

At the top you will find the striking, multi-colored egg. Hit it several times with the hammer. Zeekeeper awakens and initially considers you an intruder. Enlarge Dreamy Luigi as soon as the game asks you to do so.

Giant fight against Zeekeeper

During the pursuit, Pennhenne’s flight altitude reveals the correct counterattack. If she flies high towards Luigi, you pull the pen down to duck. If it flies close above the ground, you wipe up and jump. Wait for the final altitude: later she fools a direction only.

You strike the explosive eggs back with the hammer by tapping the appropriate field on the touchscreen in time. On the other hand, you let mushrooms through so that they cure Luigi. If you strike back a mushroom, Zeekeeper gets the healing. If you manage to get close enough, Luigi reaches for her legs. Swipe down quickly repeatedly. Break off one leg, tap it, and move on until Zeekeeper walks to the floor.

On the floor you have a short attack window. Use a strong hit and then, if available, the tamping attack. If you need healing, plan it into this safe window. In dimension flight, you control Luigi by tilting the Nintendo 3DS. Avoid the balls with small movements. When Zeekeeper approaches the whirl attack, wait for her approach and move out of her path; then you can align the counterattack.

With the energy bullets, you tap the targets to destroy them with throwing bullets. If you clear the wave completely, you can meet Zeekeeper directly. Repeat dodging, holding, and ground attacks until the final attack. Point it at the closed third eye on her forehead.

Bowsers Castle is accessibleNeo Bowser Castle — Enchanted Doors and Kamek

After the fight, Traumbert explains the situation. Return to the real world and travel to the entrance of Pilzwald Park. East of the yellow warp pipe there or at the western entrance of the Somnamwald you will meet Zeekeeper again. Speak to her when you’re ready: she destroys the barrier around Bowser’s castle. The castle lands north of the park and becomes the next main destination.

Before leaving, use the store again and fill up healing and Bros. points. You can still follow open pi’illo rescues and attack pieces as your own detours; the following chapters will lead you through the castle sections of the main story.
