Use this checklist after the story or while revisiting worlds. The save file’s maximum is 101%. A story clear, a 101% save and a run that also collects every coloured banana are related goals with different requirements.
Golden Bananas — 201
Collect twenty-five in DK Isles and in each of the seven main worlds: four direct objectives and one blueprint reward per Kong per area. That totals two hundred. Photograph all twenty fairies and collect Tiny’s bonus on Banana Fairy Island for the 201st. Hideout Helm adds no Golden Bananas.
Banana Medals — 40
Earn thirty-five by collecting at least seventy-five coloured bananas for each Kong in each of the seven main worlds. Earn the final five by completing both machine-room barrels with each Kong in Hideout Helm.
Battle Crowns — 10
There are two in DK Isles, one in each of the seven main worlds and one in Hideout Helm. Four are enough for the vault door, but ten are needed for the complete record.
Blueprints — 40, fairies — 20
Both collections feed into the Golden Banana total. Hand every blueprint to Snide; merely holding it does not give its banana. After photographing the final fairy, visit the Banana Fairy as Tiny to claim the bonus banana.
Keys, special coins and the ending
Obtain all eight boss keys, earn the Nintendo and Rareware Coins and defeat K. Rool. Return key eight to K. Lumsy to unlock the final encounter. Check the save again after the ending.
Optional perfect coloured-banana collection — 3,500
Each world has five hundred, split into one hundred for each Kong. Singles count as one, bunches as five and balloons as ten. A 101% save can still have coloured bananas missing because medals only require seventy-five per Kong. Follow the seven separate tables if your goal includes every coloured banana.
When the percentage is short
Check the pause menu one world at a time. Verify five Golden Bananas per Kong, seventy-five coloured bananas for each medal and the world’s crown. Check Tiny’s sixth DK Isles banana separately. Missing blueprint hand-ins and the fairy bonus are easy to overlook when the world’s normal tasks are already cleared.
