Restart the mechanisms below the Gear Chamber
Inspect the missing rotor at the Service Elevator, then descend through the Gear Chamber. Before leaving its lower level, climb the boxes on the right, restore the missing section with Dark-Light and enter the hidden coin challenge for a ruby. Continue through the Maintenance Hub, using its Strobe Switch and hanging cord to reach the lower route. Reveal the missing door. In the Crank Room, restore the small central gear, ride the machinery upward and clear the Slammers for the key. The upper side room behind the loose sheet contains this mission’s Boo.
Rescue and transport Toad
Unlock the Synchronization Room route through the Synchro Gantry. Remove the web obstructing its controls, restore the missing rotor and turn the machine to reach the Toad painting. Free him with Dark-Light, then defeat the armed Greenies. Use Toad’s weight on the panel and launch him to the conveyor’s safe landing. Operate the cuckoo mechanism to bring Luigi across. Escort him through the Maintenance Hub, launching him over the gap where he cannot follow on foot. Clear the next Greenies before bringing him into danger.
Recover the rotor and use the Pixelator
Return to the Gear Chamber for the ghost waves, including covered Greenies, mummies and a Strong Sneaker. Stun mummies into obstacles and strip their wrapping; remove or bypass other ghosts’ coverings before flashing. Once the room is clear, launch Toad to the upper storage landing so he can recover the rotor. Continue to the Service Elevator. Pull away the sheet to expose the mirror and aim Toad toward the reflected gem’s low foreground-right ledge. Collect it from him, then take him to the Pixelator to finish.
