Treasure improves Luigi’s equipment automatically as his accumulated total reaches each threshold. The amounts below are gold values, not a requirement to find that many individual coin objects. A coin is worth one gold, a bill five and a gold bar twenty.
Poltergust 5000 and Dark-Light upgrades
- 2,000 G: Green Surge upgrade.
- 4,000 G: Dark-Light level 2.
- 7,000 G: Red Surge upgrade.
- 10,000 G: Dark-Light level 3.
- 20,000 G: Super Poltergust upgrade.
Check E. Gadd’s Vault to see the next threshold. The Power Surge upgrades improve charged captures, while Dark-Light upgrades extend the device’s usable charge. You do not buy them from a shop or equip Luigi’s Mansion 3’s Poltergust G-00.

ScareScraper, statues and medals
ScareScraper becomes available after A-4: Visual Tricks. It can be played solo or with other players and has a ghost collection that contributes to completing the Vault. The HD release uses the name ScareScraper; some European 3DS material calls the mode Thrill Tower.
Collect all thirteen gems in a mansion for its Luigi statue. These five statues are gem-set rewards, separate from mission stars and the E. Gadd medals on your save file. For the medals, finish the story, three-star every mission and complete the entire Vault.
