World 3-9: Gauntlet Pond

A new MAX UP Heart #2

Start W 3-3 first and bring the Wiggler segment to its head. Once there, you stick the tree stump back up and grab the comet part.

In the level you jump on the floating logs until you are on the other side. Then pull off the Bowser tape and jump on the tree trunk. Arriving at the Wiggler segment, it flees, of course. Go to the next section and jump into the Gift Lake. On the left, you can go up the stairs and find another MAX UP Heart. (Alternatively, when you have defeated the giant Blooper, you come back and stones show you the way).

A poisonous escape

Now jump up the stairs. With the tree trunk you come to the other side. Pull off the Bowser tape here and then go to the foreground with the floating log (so you avoid the toxic fumes). Go down the road to keep the Wiggler segment running. If you sink back into the background with the tree trunk, you can stick on a Secret Door below. Behind this you will find three normal and three glitter stickers.

Jump for jump

Now you can keep track of the segment. In the next section, you first pull off the Bowser tape and then jump onto the tree trunk in the background. It is best to activate the 3D mode to better estimate the distance. Follow the tree trunks until the first platform. After that, go to the background and jump from sheet to sheet. Here you will find a sponge. Hit it three times with the hammer before you can collect it. Then you can follow the tree trunks until the end. Then go to the next section in the foreground. Here, pull the Bowser tape off the floor to activate a staircase. Paper and glue the pit with the toxic fumes with a sticker. Then follow the right path over the tree trunk.

Finally at the Goal

Now you are in the Wiggler segment. Jump to him and pull it out. Continue to the right and use the log to get to the shore. Jump back to the floating log to reach the comet part in the background.
