Prologue: Welcome to Rogueport of the Prologue

The game begins and you get another letter from Princess Peach. In this there is a card next to the writing and already begins your new adventure. Once you have landed at the port of Rogueport, you go forward to the Save Block and secure your score.

The First Fight

Then you witness an arrest. But little Goombella hides behind you and you are already drawn into the matter. Your first fight is coming. If you have successfully survived it and learned a little about the techniques, use the mess and run up the stairs. Before Colonel Lord Crump noticed anything, you have already disappeared. As a thank you get from Goombella, she is a student at Gumbold University, a big smack. After talking to Toadsworth, the Chancellor of the Mushroom Kingdom, she is part of your team. Together you go in search of Professor Frankly.

Small side quest

Go to the right from the marketplace and you will feel Rogueport’s rough custom. A thief runs by and steals half of your coins. Return to the marketplace and go up the alley. In the backyard, the common robber hides in the left house. Put him out and the money will go back into your pockets. On the left side of the marketplace, someone is looking for contact lenses. No matter where you move, you will trample them. Visit the lobby shop with the Fire Flower at the door. Unfortunately, the seller does not have any lenses in stock, but they are ordered immediately. Otherwise, you can equip yourself with useful items and get to know the points system of the store. Then leave the shop and go right again.

Professor Frankly

Directly in the second house the professor has his study room. Of course he remembers Goombella, because she was one of his best students. When he sees the magic card, he almost faints. Go outside with him and jump into the green warp pipe. If you haven’t mastered the action commands yet, now is a good opportunity to practice them.

The Road to the Rogueport Underground

First save to the Rogueport Underground and go down the stairs to the right. There are 3 Goomba bullies lounging around that deserve a powerful lesson. Except for the Spiked Goomba, you can attack them all with one jump. After the fight, you will learn about the First Attack. Then go up the stairs to the right and then behind the wall ruins. Jump onto the floating platform and at the end into the warp pipe. Walk the way to the right and the stairs down. The small boxes contain useful items (mushroom and fire flower). Just hit it with the hammer, as well as the 2 large blocks behind which a warp pipe is hidden.

The paper plane curse

If you have slipped through, go to the right where a few springs swirl around. Jump on the blue switch and a staircase appears. Use them and drop back at the top to get to the black key. Then go back up and into the entrance. From the chest you hear a ghost voice and if you open it with the key, you will be filled with the paper flyer curse. Leave the room and move to the left. Use the paper flight on the ramp and land on the other side.

The Mystery of the Eon Gate

Go through the opening and you’re at the Thousand-Year Door. Stand on the pedestal and on the magic map the position of a star jewel is entered. Furthermore, you will learn the star attack Sweet Treat. Back to the professor, he starts a small experiment. Now you get to know the role of the spectators and what the Star Attack is all about. Finally, he gives you the Power Smash Badges you should create.

Once a Blooper please

Return to the Rogueport Underground. On the left you can exchange the found star splitters for badges at Funkelbert. To the right it goes to a ramp, with which you reach the other side with the paper flight. Behind the opening you reach a lake from which a tentacle looks out. Haue once with the hammer on it and Blooper, a huge squid, appears. First you have to take care of his tentacles, each of which has 3 HP. Once these are done, the body falls to the ground and you can attack it. Once you have defeated his 12 HP, he gives you the way to the warp pipe. Use the moving platforms to get there.
