You want Super Mario Bros. Wonder to complete 100%? Only defeating Bowser and playing through all worlds is not enough for this. For a fully completed score you have to earn a total of 6 medals.
For this you need all Wonder Seeds, all 10-Flower Coins, the top of all required Goal Poles, all badges and all Standees. In this overview, we show you step by step what 100% is in Super Mario Bros. Wonder is necessary and how you recognize what you are missing.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder – What do you need for 100%?
A total of 6 medals can appear on your score. Each medal represents a specific task. Only when all six conditions are met is Super Mario Bros valid. Wonder as fully completed.
| Medal | Conditions |
| 1 | Complete main story and defeat Bowser |
| 2 | Collect all 225 Wonder Seeds |
| 3 | Collect all 10-Flower Coins |
| 4 | Reaching the top of all required Goal Poles |
| 5 | Unlock all 24 badges |
| 6 6 | Collect all 144 Standees |
1. Medal – Defeat Bowser
The first medal is also the simplest. Play through the main story, collect the six Royal Seeds and then open the way to Bowser Castle on the Petal Isles.
- Prerequisite: Complete all six main worlds and receive the Royal Seed.
- Finals: Play “The Final Battle”! Bowser’s Rage Stage on the Petal Isles.
- Boss: Defeat Bowser in the final rhythm battle.
- Medal: Upon completion of the game and credits, the first medal will be displayed on your score.
This ends the story – but for 100% you probably still have a lot ahead of you.
2. Medal – All 225 Wonder Seeds
Throughout the game, you can collect 225 Wonder Seeds. They are in the normal levels, according to Wonder Effects, at secret exits, in breather breaks, search parties and badge tests. You can also get some seeds in poplin houses or buy them in poplin shops.
- Pipe-Rock Plateau: 35 Wonder Seeds
- Fluff-Puff Peaks: 30 Wonder Seeds
- Shining Falls: 20 Wonder Seeds
- Sunbaked Desert: 36 Wonder Seeds
- Fungi Mines: 21 Wonder Seeds
- Deep Magma Bog: 30 Wonder Seeds
- Petal Isles: 34 Wonder Seeds
- Special World: 19 Wonder Seeds
Together, these worlds make up exactly 225 Wonder Seeds.
Wonder Seeds is missing – where to look?
If you lack a seed in the end, you should first control the overview of the respective world. Especially often the Wonder Seeds from poplin shops, poplin houses and secret exits are forgotten.
In total, there are seven real secret exits. Each of these outputs brings an extra Wonder Seed. Our complete overview can be found under All Secret Exits in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
Medal 3 — Collect All 10-Flower Coins
In almost all regular levels, there are three large purple 10 flower coins waiting each. Some are right on the way, others are in hidden rooms, behind tubes or in difficult bonus sections.
- Open the respective level on the world map.
- Under the level name you can see which 10 flower coins you have already collected.
- A missing coin is not yet fully displayed there.
- Already collected 10 Flower Coins appear transparent on a renewed pass.
The locations of all 10-Flower Coins can already be found in our individual world-wide walkthroughs.
10-Flower Coin in the Final-Final Test
A special feature is The Final-Final Test Badge Marathon. His three 10-flower coins are not yet needed for the previous medal or for the unlocking of the level, as the Superfinal test will only be accessible very late.
For the really completely completed score you should of course also collect all three coins there.
4. Medal – All golden Goal Poles
Just finishing a level is not always enough. For the fourth medal, you have to reach the top of the goal post at all appropriate courses.
If you jump all the way up, the rating “Wonderful!” appears at the finish. The level overview then saves that you have already reached the top.
Tips for difficult Goal Poles
- Use the Parachute Cap if you need more range.
- With the Boosting Spin Jump you can extend your jump in the air.
- The Floating High Jump is suitable for particularly high-altitude Goal Poles.
- Use opponents, balloinks, music blocks or other level objects as an additional jumping aid.
- Some Goal Poles are easier to achieve if you finish with a big transformation.
Black Goal Pole does not count
In some levels, there are alternative Goal Poles with a dark flag. These so-called alternative or incorrect outputs are not required for 100% completion.
Among other things, they come in “Jump!” Jump! Jump!, “Final test: Don’t dawdle!” and the expeditions of the Fungi Mines.
5. Medal – All 24 badges
In the original Nintendo Switch version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder has a total of 24 badges. They change your character’s abilities and are unlocked through badge tests, poplin stores, and special challenges.
| Category | Number |
| Action Badges | 9 |
| Boost Badges | 11 |
| Expert badges | 4 |
| Total | 24 |
Especially easy to miss is the last expert badge “Sound Off?” For this, you must first master the most difficult level of the game.
“Sound Off?” to unlock
- Unlock The Final-Final Test Badge Marathon in the Special World.
- Master the complete badge marathon.
- In addition, collect all three 10-flower coins.
- Reach the tip of the target pile.
- After that, the last Poplin house “WONDER?” will be accessible.
- Enter the house and open the treasure chest.
- Inside is the expert badge “Sound Off?”
With this last badge you can get the medal for all 24 badges.
6. Medal – All 144 Standees
The last major collection task is the 144 Standees. For each of the twelve playable characters, there are twelve different motifs.
The Standees can be set up during online play and help other players revive themselves as a spirit. For the 100% score, however, you must have all 144 variants regardless of online mode.
Buying Standees
- In many poplin stores, you can buy a random Standees surprise for 10 Flower Coins.
- In the beginning you get new characters very quickly.
- The more complete your collection becomes, the more often you get duplicates.
Buying Missing Standees Targeted
For the last figures you should use the Standees store in the Special World.
- Select the character for whom you still lack a standee.
- For 30 Flower Coins you are guaranteed to get a standee of this character, which you do not yet own.
- This allows you to complete the collection without chance.
If you own all 144 Standees, the sixth medal appears.
Missing a Green Check Mark — What Did I Miss?
A green check mark at a level shows you that all necessary tasks have been completed there. If the catch is missing, even though you have already finished the level, you should control these points:
- Do you have all the Wonder Seeds of the level?
- Do you have all three 10-flower coins?
- Have you reached the top of the target?
- Does the level possibly have a secret exit?
Especially the 7 secret exits are often the reason that a level has not yet been completed despite seemingly complete collectible objects.
The Final-Final Test Badge Marathon
On the way to 100%, you will inevitably be the most difficult course of Super Mario Bros. Unlock Wonder: The Final-Final Test Badge Marathon.
For this you have to have the normal worlds and the special world almost completely completed. In particular, the until then available Wonder Seeds, 10-Flower Coins and golden Goal Poles are needed.
In the Superfinal test, the different action and expert badges are automatically changed one after the other. You therefore have to master almost all the important movement mechanics of the game.
Our walkthrough can be found in the Special World Guide.
What happens at 100%?
If you have met all six conditions, your score has all 6 medals. In addition, a green check mark or the completely completed status appears on your score.
As a small additional reward, the title screen of the game also changes. This gives you the original Nintendo Switch version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder fully completed.
