All 144 Standees

Super Mario Bros. Wonder guide hub

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder has 144 Standees to collect. They show the twelve playable characters in different poses, transformations and Wonder Effects.

For the 100% degree, you must own all 144 Standees. Once you have completed the collection, you will receive one of the six golden medals for your score.

Note: This guide refers to the original Nintendo Switch version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. In the Nintendo Switch 2 edition, Rosalina is added with twelve additional displays.

How many Standees are there?

In the original Switch version, there are:

  • 12 playable characters
  • 12 Standees per character
  • 144 Standees in total

The 12 Characters

  • Mario
  • Luigi
  • Princess Peach
  • Daisy
  • Yellow toad
  • Blue toad
  • Toadette
  • Yoshi
  • Red Yoshi
  • Yellow Yoshi
  • Light blue Yoshi
  • Nabbit

How do you get Standees?

Standees are mainly bought in the poplin shops. There are two different possibilities.

Standee Surprise — 10 Flower Coins

  • Cost: 10 Flower Coins
  • You get a random standee.
  • You cannot choose the character or the variant.
  • Existing Standees can appear again.
  • As a result, duplicates become more and more common with increasing collection.

The Standees surprise for 10 Flower Coins can be found in numerous poplin stores in the Flower Kingdom.

Tip: At the beginning of your collection, this cheap variant is particularly worthwhile. As long as you still lack many Standees, the probability of a new standee is relatively high.

Character Standees – 30 Flower Coins

  • Cost: 30 Flower Coins
  • These special Standees are offered in the Standees store of the Special World.
  • You can choose which character you want to buy a standee for.
  • You are guaranteed a standee of this character, which you do not yet own.
  • Duplicates are excluded.

This is by far the best method to complete your collection in the end.

Standees store in the Special World

The main store for the Standees is in the Special World.

  • Location: Enter the Special World via any of the seven accesses.
  • On the world map you will find the special Standees shop there.
  • The normal Standees surprise still costs 10 Flower Coins.
  • In addition, you can buy a guaranteed new standee of a selected character for 30 Flower Coins.

How to Buy the Last Standees

For example, if you only have two Luigi Standees left, simply choose the Luigi Standees surprise in the store.

The first purchase is guaranteed to bring you one of the two missing Luigi Standees. On the second purchase, you automatically get the last one.

After that, this character surprise can no longer be purchased for Luigi because his collection is complete.

Best strategy for all 144 Standees

You should not buy every standee for 30 Flower Coins from the beginning. With a mix of cheap random listings and guaranteed listings, you can save many Flower Coins.

Phase 1 – Buying cheap Standees

  • During normal history, keep buying Standees surprises for 10 Flower Coins.
  • As long as you still lack many figures, you often get a new standee.
  • However, do not spend your Flower Coins completely. Wonder Seeds and important badges from the poplin shops have priority.

Phase 2 – Watch duplicates

  • The fuller your collection becomes, the more often you get an already existing standee for 10 Flower Coins.
  • At the latest if several purchases in succession bring only duplicates, you should no longer bet on luck.

Phase 3 – Special World

  • Change to the Standees store in the Special World.
  • Check which characters are missing Standees.
  • For each 30 Flower Coins, buy the missing Standees.
  • Every purchase is guaranteed to bring you a new copy.

In this way, the last 20 or 30 Standees can be completed much faster than with the normal random surprise.

What do the different frames mean?

The Standees have different frames. They show different types of motives at the same time.

  • Normal Frames: classic poses and actions of the character
  • Silver frames: especially transformations or other special poses
  • Golden frames: motifs from the various Wonder Effects

The golden Standees are correspondingly rarer in the normal Standees surprises. In the Special World store, however, this does not play a big role for the completion, because you are guaranteed to get a missing copy there.

How do you use a standee?

Standees are not just collectibles. They also have a practical function in online play.

  • Duck yourself during a level.
  • Then press the appropriate action button to place a standee.
  • You can only use Standees that belong to your currently played character.
  • Other players can see your Standees in online mode.

If another player is defeated, he turns briefly into a ghost. If the spirit reaches a player or a placed standee in time, the character is revived.

Collect Flower Coins for Standees

For the complete collection you need a lot of Flower Coins. Especially when specifically buying the last Standees, several hundred flower coins can quickly be needed.

Flower Coins can be obtained by:

  • small flower coins in the levels,
  • 10-flower coins,
  • Captain Toad,
  • Rewards on the world map,
  • Playing again a rich level.

Captain Toad

Each of the five Captain Toad sites will bring you 50 Flower Coins. If you have not spoken to all five, you can earn a total of 250 Flower Coins for your Standees collection.

How many Flower Coins do all Standees cost?

There is no fixed total for the normal Standees surprise, because you can also get duplicates for 10 flower coins.

If, on the other hand, you theoretically buy all 144 Standees exclusively via the guaranteed character selection of the Special World, you would maximum:

144 × 30 Flower Coins = 4,320 Flower Coins

needed.

In practice, the collection is much cheaper, because you can already buy many random Standees for ten Flower Coins during the normal course of the game.

Last Standees missing – what to do?

If you are only missing a single standee, you should no longer buy normal Standees surprises for 10 Flower Coins.

  1. Open your Standees collection.
  2. Check which character is missing a motif.
  3. Journey to the Special World.
  4. Visit the Standees store.
  5. For 30 Flower Coins, buy the character stands of the corresponding character.
  6. You are guaranteed to get the missing Standees.

Thus, there is no random factor in the last standee.

Reward for all 144 Standees

Once you own all 144 Standees, another gold medal will be unlocked on your score.

This makes the Standees, along with the 225 Wonder Seeds, the 10-Flower Coins, the golden target stakes, the 24 badges and the victory over Bowser, among the six major tasks for the full 100% deal.
