Excitement Central introduces the two kinds of trapdoor and the colored treasure buttons. Clear Greenhorn Forest first, then Greenhorn Ruins, before entering DinoMighty’s Showdown. Search the branching paths before using the goal trapdoor; reaching the boss requires fewer diamonds than collecting all eight.
Greenhorn Forest
Climb the first ladder, activate the treasure button and open its chest. Rescue the red Spriteling, then use the log platforms to reach the early Gold Statue pieces. Check the lower path as well as the raised route: a button on a column reveals another treasure, and continuing upward brings you to the yellow Spriteling.
Near the Garlic Dispenser, open the wooden trapdoor and complete its platform room before continuing. Search the following trapdoors too; they provide red diamonds and more statue pieces. Use the Bunny Spring to reach the higher route and rescue the green Spriteling.
At the branching section, examine the upper-left trapdoor and activate the nearby treasure button before climbing the tree. Explore the path on the right for another statue piece and a treasure chest. Use the platforms around the pool to reach the next piece, then climb the ladder and activate the button at the top.
Later, rescue the blue Spriteling and complete the trapdoor rooms around the approach to the goal. The purple Spriteling is near the end. Check the matching colored pads after activating the late blue and purple buttons; going straight into the goal can leave those revealed chests behind. Use the ByeBye Balloon to return to an earlier section if the inventory still shows a missing item.
Boss: Greenfist
Move clear of Greenfist’s charge and pounding attacks, then punch during an opening until it is stunned. Pick it up and use a Mad Move, such as a Piledriver or Mega Toss. Ordinary punches create the opening; the carried attack removes a health skull. Three successful Mad Moves win the fight.
Greenhorn Ruins
Check the opening blocks and raised ledges before destroying a route you still need for a jump. Activate the early treasure buttons, rescue the red and yellow Spritelings, then carry a stunned enemy to the steel trapdoor. Use a Piledriver to open it and complete the room for the first diamond and a statue piece.
Continue to the green Spriteling and use the Glue Globes to reach the higher trapdoor. For each Globe jump, look at the next landing before letting go. Moving too far past a Globe can drop Wario into the lower area and force another climb.
The Crystal Entity encounters require you to use the appropriate carried attack against the obstacle. Defeat an enemy, keep hold of it and line up the move instead of destroying every available body. Around the Old Red-Mugs, examine the spaces exposed when the large containers are knocked over. Activate the nearby blue and light-blue buttons before leaving this section.
Search behind the Ankirons for trapdoors and check both the upper Globe route and the lower path for statue pieces. Rescue the blue Spriteling near the later battle area. In the final stretch, activate the remaining colored buttons and return to their pads, then rescue the purple Spriteling near the goal. Complete the last steel-trapdoor room before entering the Sandworm fight.
Boss: Sandworm
The sand pulls Wario toward the middle, where the Sandworm can catch him with its arms. Approach during an opening and attack, then move away when it becomes temporarily invulnerable. Do not try to pick it up: this boss is damaged directly rather than with a carried Mad Move.
When the Sandworm returns to the center and scatters spiked balls, keep moving around the pit and resist the pull toward its attacks. Reapproach after the invulnerable sequence ends. Repeat until all five health skulls are gone.
DinoMighty’s Showdown
Watch for the stomps and jump over the ground shockwaves. One opening comes from repeatedly striking the bandage on DinoMighty’s belly. Once she is stunned, pick her up and use a Mad Move rather than continuing to punch.
You can also grab the Glue Globe on her tail when the movement leaves a safe opportunity. Ride it until the tail rises above her, release and Ground Pound her head to stun her. If a column is available, a properly aimed Mega Toss can create another opening. Five successful Mad Moves earn the first Huge Treasure Chest Key piece and open Spooktastic World.
