Mirror Mansion and Pecan Sands contain the final main-level collectibles. Clear both levels, defeat Captain Skull for the last key piece, then return to the huge treasure chest for the Black Jewel. Search the level inventories before the finale if you are aiming for every treasure and Spriteling.
Mirror Mansion
Use the rising blocks to reach the red button, then enter the first trapdoor for a diamond and Gold Statue piece. Before leaving the moving-block section, jump to the last raised landing to rescue the red Spriteling.
Read the mirror when the route or a target is unclear. Some objects appear only in the reflection, and left-right movement is reversed there. Use the local bird enemy to open the steel trapdoor and complete the rotating-platform room. After returning, open the revealed red chest and use the reflected clue to locate the yellow button.
Ride the cardboard-lion route and jump to the side landing for the yellow Spriteling and another treasure button. At the Terrible Portrait, use a stunned enemy beneath its arms to create the damaging opening. Climb the fence after the fight and search the chest route before taking the next trapdoor.
Complete the glass-floor and fence detours for the middle diamonds and statue pieces. Activate the green, light-blue and blue buttons as they become reachable, then return along their matching pads. Around the Battle Ring, check the reflection for an exit or enemy you cannot see directly.
The late trapdoor contains the blue Spriteling and a mechanism puzzle. Use the Corkscrew Conk to operate the levers, then wait for the resulting crossing to line up. Search the high pillar for a statue piece and the right-hand trapdoor for the room with Glue Globes.
After the later Terrible Portrait, activate the remaining pink and purple buttons and collect the chests on their separate paths. Rescue the purple Spriteling in the final trapdoor room, check the inventory and continue to Mean Emcee.
Boss: Mean Emcee
Hit Mean Emcee until he hides under a cup, then follow that cup during the shuffle. Strike the correct cup twice to make him fall out, pick him up and use a Mad Move. Hitting the wrong cup releases extra enemies, so tracking the cup is more useful than guessing quickly.
The shuffle speeds up as his health falls. Move away from his spinning and cane attacks, wait for the next opening and repeat until five health skulls have been removed.
Pecan Sands
Jump across the opening columns to activate the red button, then carry a stunned enemy to the steel trapdoor. Operate the mechanism inside and rescue the red Spriteling. Back outside, open the red chest and search the Arrow Block room on the right for the yellow Spriteling and another diamond.
Activate the yellow and light-green buttons before using the Glue Globes to climb the brown wall. Complete the next Arrow Block room, then use the launch from the bird-like structure to reach the higher statue piece. Follow the Globe route down to another trapdoor, where the green Spriteling waits.
Continue to the green and light-blue buttons, completing the nearby diamond room before moving on. Against a Stone-Cold Statue, strike the marked weak section to break its stacked blocks. Destroy the obstruction to reveal the ladder and reach the higher chest route.
On the slide, choose the line containing the statue piece. After the Battle Ring, activate the blue button and complete the spike-platform room. Use the stone columns to reach the blue Spriteling, then search the fence route and the difficult jumping room on the left.
In the upper section, use Corkscrew Conk jumps where an ordinary jump cannot reach the next landing. Check the small side alcove for another statue piece and enter the final diamond room for the purple Spriteling. Activate the late pink and purple buttons, then use the local Flying Spades to climb toward the final treasure pads. Check the inventory before destroying the last obstruction and entering the goal.
Boss: Ironsider
Attack a stone hand until it is stunned, pick it up and throw it at Ironsider or Piledrive it close enough to damage the boss. The head itself cannot be damaged by simply punching it.
Jump the ground shockwaves and use a Ground Pound to burrow into sand when the rotating flame attack closes in. If a hand grabs Wario, move the Control Stick to escape. Five successful damaging hand attacks finish the battle.
Captain Skull’s Showdown
The ship has two halves, each with a deck and lookout. In the first part of the fight, approach Captain Skull, stun him with punches and use a Mad Move. Dodge his spin when he begins blocking your attacks.
After three health skulls are removed, ordinary punches no longer create the opening. Reach the lookout opposite him and wait for the flaming bombs. Pick up a bomb after it cools, before it explodes, and use a charged Mega Toss to hit him. Then cross quickly with the springs, reach the stunned Captain and perform another Mad Move.
When the large cannonball is aimed at the deck, move up to the lookout; if the lookout is threatened, use the lower footing. Keep moving around the homing shots. Defeat Captain Skull to obtain the final Huge Treasure Chest Key piece.
Final boss: Black Jewel
Open the huge treasure chest. For the original North American and European battle, free the five Spritelings or cages trapped in crystals around the arena. They stun the Black Jewel, allowing Wario to pick it up and use a Mad Move.
Move ahead of the laser’s burning trail so that the fire walls do not trap you in an unsafe position. When the boss sends colored shockwaves across the ground, jump over them before returning to the crystals. Avoid the homing fireballs while setting up the next opening. Repeat the rescue-and-attack cycle until all eight health points are gone.
Japanese-version difference: the first half uses ten Spritelings per opening. The second half changes to direct combat with new charges, shockwaves and thrown objects; stun the jewel itself and use Mad Moves. Do not follow the five-crystal method unchanged through that version’s whole fight.
The restored castle depends on the number of Spritelings rescued across the eight levels. Rescue all forty for the treasure-filled ending. If any are missing, return through the world chapters and use each level’s inventory to identify the unfinished search.
