Walkthrough
- Ride Wooshwing and use short upward inputs to climb; holding the direction longer makes a loop. Practise a turn and a descent before heading into the strong updraft.
- Use the updraft to reach the tree's high pepper. Carry it back to Wooshwing to trigger a powerful forward boost and chase the upper-right butterfly.
- Complete the timed token route, then enter the nest in the lower-right cave to begin the chase after Bowser Jr. and Kamek.
- During the chase, obtain eggs from the creatures along the route and throw them at the sack containing the young Wooshwings. Avoid the smaller spells. Hit Kamek's large spell with an egg to reflect it. Free the young and drive the pair away for the Big Discovery.
Smiley Flower locations
The locations are listed separately from the main route so you can check a missing flower without repeating every step.
Smiley Flower 1 — Apple-tree platform
Apple-tree platform: fly to the ledge above the yellow Crazee Dayzees.
Smiley Flower 2 — Updraft
Updraft: fly through the butterfly area left of the Winged Clouds.
Smiley Flower 3 — Timed route
Timed route: activate the red ! Switch and fly through all its blue tokens.
Smiley Flower 4 — Yellow butterfly
Yellow butterfly: use a pepper boost to catch it in the upper-right airspace.
Creatures and additional discoveries
Short steering inputs preserve a useful flight line; prolonged ones can turn an intended climb into a loop. Keep the Golden Bug's flight height in mind while exploring. In the chase, wait for the large reflectable spell instead of wasting eggs on every small projectile.
