Special 5-1
Star Medal 1: With this star coin above the four brown blocks at the beginning, make sure that the platforms flip over each of your jumps. Star Medal 2: Run straight after the checkpoint and then take the left path. Star Medal 3: Even with the last star coin you have to think about folding, otherwise you fall into the abyss.
Special 5-2
Star Medal 1: Hammer from below against the red Crystal block. Star Medal 2: The second star coin requires above all jump skill. Star Medal 3: Pay attention to the spike trap in the ground and the right timing.
Special 5-3
Star Medal 1: Let yourself be transported right at the beginning from the fountain to the top left also the rails jump there on the Crystal block. Star Medal 2: For the second star coin you have to avoid the Goombas. Star Medal 3: The last star coin sits over a few blocks that fall away among you. So hurry when you get them.
Special 5-4
Star Medal 1: The first star coin is clearly on the way. Star Medal 2: For the following, keep right as soon as the level starts scrolling up. Star Medal 3: The last star coin comes a bit over it.
Special 5-5
Star Medal 1: Note: All warp punches that bring you a room forward (i.e., not back to the start) have a small coin next to them. So take the right warp punch through the rooms until you are at the checkpoint. Now go up to the bookshelf and jump right on the Goomba to get the first Star Medal. Star Medal 2: Go through the warp box right next to him and in the next room back up to the same place and jump into the warp box. Then jump on the Goomba in front of you to elicit the second star coin. Star Medal 3: Now run up and this time back to get into the next room and do the last Goomba.
Special 5 lock
Star Medal #1 is waiting over a grid platform that will take you upstairs. Star Medal 2: You now move to the left and collect the second one, if possible without being swallowed by the lava. Star Medal 3: The third one is a little harder to get hold of because Bowser throws fireballs at you.
