We will help you solve the levels and reveal where you can find all the mushrooms and where the five Ace Coins are hidden in the levels. After completing the main story you can find 40 Yoshi eggs, they are all hidden behind a door, usually in the place where you previously found a mushroom. We will show you where to find them in this guide.
World 2-1
Character recommendation: Toad In the desert area, Toad has a clear advantage. No other character can dig through sand as quickly, which is especially crucial in quicksand and vertical passages.
Ace Coins:
- Coin 1: High above the first pile of bones – use a cactus or enemy as a jumping aid.
- Coin 2: Above the cactus directly in front of the pyramid.
- Coin 3: Above the quicksand with the snake – then jump onto the cactus to reach it safely.
- Coin 4: Behind the door while digging through the sand – keep to the right.
- Coin 5: Then continue digging to the left.
Yoshi Eggs (Yoshi’s Challenge):
- Yoshi Egg 1: In quicksand – quickly save the egg before it sinks too deep.
- Yoshi Egg 2: Get the potion behind the pyramid and use it near the Panser.
Tips & special features:
- Quicksand pulls you down when you stop – always keep moving.
- The easiest way to defeat Pansers is to throw a Shy Guy at them.
- When digging through the sand, Cherries can spawn Starman – perfect for safe passages.
World 2-2
Character recommendation: Toad Toad is also the best choice here. Quick digging and his power jump help with the many vertical jumps.
Ace Coins:
- Coin 1: Large jump from the first bone body.
- Coin 2: At the rotating bone in the quicksand – jump off it.
- Coin 3: Between two fire-breathing plants.
- Coin 4: Keep left when digging through the sand.
- Coin 5: Also in the left sand area – dig deep.
Yoshi Eggs (Yoshi’s Challenge):
- Yoshi Egg 1: Draw potion from the first grass and immediately use it in the same area.
- Yoshi egg 2: Carry the potion from the middle of the sand to the top and use it there.
Tips & special features:
- Bone platforms are often the only way to safely overcome quicksand.
- Keep your distance from Pokeys – attack them from below if possible.
- A wrong path leads to a dead end – always keep right in the last section.
World 2-3
Character recommendation: Mario Mario is the best choice for the boss fight against Triclyde. Its balanced bounce and control help in precise placement of the mushroom blocks.

- Coin 3: In the middle area while using Beezos as transport.
