We will help you solve the levels and reveal where you can find all the mushrooms and where the five Ace Coins are hidden in the levels. After completing the main story, you can also collect 40 Yoshi eggs. They are all hidden behind a door – usually in the places where you previously found a mushroom.
World 4-1
Character recommendation: Toad The ice is extremely slippery. Toad’s speed helps here as long as you don’t play hastily.
Level Tips:
- The ice is extremely slippery – plan braking distances early or jump instead of running.
- Toad’s speed is helpful, but can quickly become a risk on ice.
- Jumping fish can be used as platforms, but remain unpredictable.
- Cannons and mobile enemies can carry you to high coins.
- Before the end of the level it is worth collecting hearts – there is no mini-boss.
Ace Coins:
- Coin 1: Above the first fish – use it as a jumping aid.
- Coin 2: At the bottom of a platform, about 3-4 screens after the start.
- Coin 3: Same pattern as Coin 2, two screens further.
- Coin 4: In the second section – use the Shy Guy on the moving cannon.
- Coin 5: Just before the two jars – big jump or power jump.
Yoshi Eggs (Yoshi’s Challenge):
- Yoshi Egg 1: Near the location of the first mushroom, but on the right side.
- Yoshi Egg 2: Where the rocket is normally located in Subspace.
World 4-2
Character Recommendation: Peach Peach’s controlled jumps are perfect for whale tails, ice surfaces and tight landings. Level Tips:
- Peach’s hover phase is crucial for precise landings on whale tails.
- Whale fountains carry you up – only jump off at the highest point.
- Beezos and Flurries often attack at the same time – keep moving.
- For the warp zone you have to transport the magic potion specifically over water.
- A mistake above water usually means instant death – play patiently.
Ace Coins:
- Coin 1: Near the first waves of enemies after the Vine.
- Coin 2: Shortly afterwards on a small platform.
- Coin 3: On the tail of a whale in the middle section.
- Coin 4: Three whales further – again on a tail.
- Coin 5: Far right after the rocket – big jump necessary.
Warp Zone: In World 4-2 you will find a magic potion among the whales. Use it to jump to the jar on the small island. In Subspace you can go directly to World 6 through this jug.
Yoshi Eggs (Yoshi’s Challenge):
- Yoshi Egg 1: Near the mushroom location on the left whale tail.
- Yoshi Egg 2: Near the third mushroom – place the potion and use it immediately.
World 4-3
Character recommendation: Peach Her long jumping phase helps with shortcuts, ice surfaces and the boss fight.
Level Tips:
- This level combines ice, vertical passages and boss fight – stay defensive.
- Peach can achieve several shortcuts using controlled hovering.
- Doors often lead to dead ends or to collectibles – check each route.
- In the vertical section, a fall is usually fatal – it is better to climb slowly.
- Before Fryguy you should have full hearts as much as possible – phase 2 is hectic.
Ace Coins:
- Coin 1: While riding on the egg, jump up just before the island.
- Coin 2: After the door on the left side of the screen.
- Coin 3: Several doors later – use the red Shy Guy as a jumping aid.
- Coin 4: At the very bottom of the vertical section.
- Coin 5: In the pre-boss area at the top left.
Yoshi Eggs (Yoshi’s Challenge):
- Yoshi Egg 1: At the position of the first mushroom – placed slightly higher.
- Yoshi Egg 2: On one of the towers near the boss – left side.
Boss: Fryguy
- Phase 1: Hit Fryguy three times with mushroom blocks from above.
- It then splits into four fireballs.
- Defeat all four – each becomes faster and more dangerous.
- Use mushroom blocks defensively and attack from a safe position.
