SS Tea Cup

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 guide hub

The first three courses approach the pirate ship; the final two explore the vessel itself. Collect the treasures in Courses 26, 29 and 30 before climbing to Bobo’s crow’s nest.

Course 26

Cross the forest clearing and enter the small room with Droppers and a D.D. To progress normally, take the far door into the cave. Jet Wario is available near the Bee Fly, and it helps clear the crocodile-infested water without being dragged into the central downward current.

Before leaving the D.D. room, reveal the invisible block slightly left above the lone empty block on the right. It reaches a hidden ladder to the Treasure I route. Complete that detour, then return to the cave and continue across the water to the goal.

Treasure I: Dagger

In the early D.D. room, use the hidden block above-left of the lone empty block to reach a high ladder. Pass the forest room and enter the upper-right door hidden among the cracked blocks. Continue right through the indoor chamber to the water switch. Fill the room, swim up its shaft and take the key from the blocks in the upper room. Drain the water again if desired, then carry the key back to the treasure door in the cracked-block room.

Open the chest, collect the treasure and finish the course to keep it. Its final value is 7,000 coins.

Course 27

Dive into the sea, keeping clear of the Goboten that follows Wario. The early Jet Pot helps break the submerged arch near the end; without it, swim above the arch while avoiding the Helmuts. In the flooded cave beyond, pass the ceiling Droppers and climb the ladder. Bull Wario can hang beneath the conveyor to reach the optional checkpoint room with a Jet Pot and 100 Coin.

The final beach has Bee Flies, barrels and Muncher beds. Use the ladders and breakable-block bridges to stay above the plants. Do not blindly drop into the gaps between barrels: some contain another Muncher bed beside the small safe ledge.

Course 28

On the first beach, Dragon Wario can break the partly cracked blocks between the posts to reveal a switch room. Its switch creates a ladder to an upper platform route over the water. Without Dragon Wario, swim along the lower route instead, avoiding the birds as they dive.

The next lake includes the checkpoint door partway across. Continue onto the second beach, then enter the last cave. Its water currents pull downward and a Goboten patrols below. Use the collapsing platforms overhead, moving promptly across each, to reach the goal without swimming through the most dangerous section.

Course 29

Board the ship and climb the three cargo floors using the ladders on the right. The upper-right door continues forward. Descend the next ladder past the D.D. and climb the following three floors; their middle door is a shortcut back to the earlier ship section. The upper door reaches the checkpoint.

In the wide room beyond it, the second side door contains a Pouncer and the key for Treasure J. Ride the Pouncer’s flat top to reach the left blocks, avoiding the ceiling lances. Carry the key back through the middle-door shortcut to the treasure door above the first ladder. Then return forward and use the last door for the two D.D.s guarding the goal.

Treasure J: Hatchet

The treasure door is above the first ladder inside the ship. Continue past the checkpoint to the wide room and enter its second side door. Ride the Pouncer to reach the key block on the left, without touching the lances above. Carry the key back through the middle door in the earlier three-floor D.D. room, which shortcuts to the first ship section. Climb the first ladder to its top and unlock the vault.

Open the chest, collect the treasure and finish the course to keep it. Its final value is 3,000 coins.

Course 30

Pass the opening D.D.s and cargo blocks. Bull Wario can open the low floor blocks for extra items; otherwise the connecting room goes around them. Climb the three-floor mast room and activate the checkpoint on its middle level. On deck, use the rope ladders to reach the yards, taking Treasure K before climbing the mainsail door to the crow’s nest.

Bobo blows across the arena and spits smaller birds called Watches. Stay away from the side pit. Bounce from a Watch to reach Bobo’s head, or stun one, pick it up and throw it at the head. Three hits defeat Bobo; Dragon Wario’s flame can also reach the vulnerable head.

Treasure K: Football-shaped artifact

On the main deck, climb the right sail and hit its right-hand block for the key. Carry it toward the mainsail and descend to the treasure door underneath it. Collect the artifact before climbing the mainsail’s upper door toward Bobo.

Open the chest, collect the treasure and finish the course to keep it. Its final value is 4,000 coins.
