Scatterpuff Habitat is a habitat in Chapter 1: Wildwoods of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. Follow the route below and collect all 3 Smiley Flowers during your exploration.

Walkthrough
- Pick up an apple from the upper-right tree and carry it through Scatterpuffs. Their spores stick to the fruit, allowing you to transport them to objects elsewhere in the habitat.
- Spread spores over the dry tree to grow large puffs. Use them as footholds to reach its high branches. Let spores settle on the Golden Bug before attacking it; that interaction has its own discoveries.
- At the pond, spread spores into the water until the water level drops. Roll the wooden ball through spores, then push the enlarged puff-covered ball into the drained area.
- Cover the stone statue on the right with spores and Ground Pound it. Afterwards return all the way left: the Big Discovery is in the cave near the start, not at the right-hand end. Push spores through its opening with Yoshi's tongue until the large hidden resident retreats.
Smiley Flower locations

Smiley Flower 1 — High branch
High branch: grow large Scatterpuffs on the dry tree and climb them.
Smiley Flower 2 — Drained pond
Drained pond: lower the water, coat the wooden ball in spores and roll it through the basin to uncover the side area.
Smiley Flower 3 — Stone statue
Stone statue: weaken it with a full covering of spores, then break it with a Ground Pound.
Creatures and additional discoveries
Compare growth on water, stone, flowers and apples. Waterlogged puffs can release their water when Ground Pounded, reversing the change in water level. Spores weaken other creatures as well as scenery. Later, revisit the habitat when Detonuts become available to investigate how spores affect an explosion.
