Walkthrough
- Bounce on small Mildes to pop them. Use a Ground Pound on larger forms. Popping Mildes over a pink pool produces more, and repeated additions can build a much larger Milde.
- Enter the volcanic basin and keep adding Mildes until the Mega Milde emerges. Use its bounce to leave the crater, but explore the left and far-right flower routes before finishing.
- A popping Milde splashes nearby water. Place one at the pool beside the wilted flower, then jump on it to water the plant.
- Return to the Mega Milde and Ground Pound it to split it into smaller forms and complete the Big Discovery. Near the early pools at the volcano's foot, use a Milde's burst against the Golden Bug.

The locations are listed separately from the main route so you can check a missing flower without repeating every step.
Smiley Flower 1 — Wilted flower
Wilted flower: clear the boxes right of the pink pool, carry a Milde down and pop it in the water beside the plant.
Smiley Flower 2 — Left of the crater
Left of the crater: launch out using the Mega Milde, then cross the sticky pink ledges with successive Milde bounces.
Smiley Flower 3 — Far-right upper ledge
Far-right upper ledge: pop a Milde onto the dark pool to reactivate it, then use the resulting creatures to climb.
Creatures and additional discoveries
Try swallowing a Milde: Yoshi blows a bubble that becomes another Milde. Spitting one onto another makes them stick. Compare ordinary and larger bounces, splash water onto plants and leave a creature in a pink pool to observe how the pool engulfs it. Later visitors introduce honey, spores and water-jet interactions.
