Reach World Mushroom by taking the secret exit in World 1-Tower, then clearing the Warp Cannon course. Its collectibles are Star Coins, just as in Worlds 1–6.
World Mushroom-1
- Star Coin 1 — Enter the first yellow pipe and work your way down through the bonus room to the coin at the bottom.
- Star Coin 2 — Use the second yellow pipe after the Checkpoint Flag and collect the Gold Flower. Clear a route between the blocks without destroying every useful foothold on the way to the coin.
- Star Coin 3 — Near the goal, bounce from the green Koopa Troopa onto the higher block. Then bounce from the red Koopa Troopa to reach the next, still higher block and the coin.
- Secret Exit — At the third coin, jump onto the block on the left and reveal the Vine. Climb to the red flag to unlock World Mushroom-A.
World Mushroom-2
- Star Coin 1 — Wait for the block to the right of the coin to move down far enough to open the route. Collect the coin during that opening.
- Star Coin 2 — Clear the Urchin guarding the coin before swimming in to collect it.
- Star Coin 3 — Enter the green pipe and climb quickly through the next area before the moving obstacles close the route to the coin.
World Mushroom-Ghost House
- Star Coin 1 — Take the first door on the left. Press the ? Switch on the right to reveal the coin and the blocks leading to it. Raccoon Mario makes the climb easier.
- Star Coin 2 — In the second section, choose the middle door. Press the switch at the upper left, then drop to the right of the Springboards to reach the coin.
- Star Coin 3 — Activate the three switches in this order: right, left, middle. Work through the newly opened route among the blue blocks, but do not leave through the exit door yet. Fly through the opening on the right side of the ceiling, press the switch above, and hurry across to collect the coin.
- Secret Exit — Repeat the right, left, middle switch sequence and activate the switch above the ceiling again. This time go right to the newly revealed door. The red flag opens World Mushroom-B.
World Mushroom-3
- Star Coin 1 — Let the Donut Block drop toward the coin, then jump off in time to land safely.
- Star Coin 2 — Jump quickly up the falling platforms to reach the coin before the route collapses.
- Star Coin 3 — Trigger the POW Block to free the coin, then reach it with Wall Jumps or by climbing the platforms.
World Mushroom-A
Unlock this course through World Mushroom-1’s secret exit.
- Star Coin 1 — Wait for the steel ball to destroy the Brick Blocks, then crouch and slide through to the coin.
- Star Coin 2 — At the next fork, take the narrower passage on the right. It leads to the second coin.
- Star Coin 3 — Release the large steel ball to clear the smaller, faster ones out of the way. Collect the coin once the path is safer.
