Origami Castle – The Last Dungeon
After you have opened the gate of the Mushroom Palace, you reach the entrance hall. But you are hardly in the castle, Origami-Princess Peach begins with the transformation of the building. The entire palace changes its structure and becomes the final dungeon of the game: Origami Castle.
First, go up the long stairs and hit the white tile at the bottom left and the middle white tile in the second row with the hammer. This creates a folding circle with which you can pull down a gate from above.
Behind the gate leads another staircase into the interior of the castle. Before you get any further, however, you must pass a fight against several fire brothers.
In the next corridor, a sumo bro guards the path. He can turn the ground with his tampers. Therefore, run forward only when he does not look at you, and hide behind the pillars.
If you fall into the underlying origami pit, it immediately means Game Over.
Defeat the Sumo Bro, pull down the stairs with the folding arms and follow the path further into the castle.
Boss fight against the truck
Just before the throne room, Olly’s last secret weapon confronts you: the forklift.
The boss attacks you with metal clips and can even pin Mario on the ground. However, his real weakness only shows up when his magazine is empty.
Strategy against the forklift:
- As far as possible, attack from a distance with jumps or folding arms.
- The further away you are, the more brackets the truck shoots per attack.
- When all brackets are used up, the boss opens his magazine and is particularly vulnerable.
- At this moment, use the folding arms to cause massive damage.
After a few rounds, the truck uses a special attack in which it shoots its remaining brackets at the same time. The less ammunition he still has, the weaker this attack is.
Repeat the described strategy until the truck is finally destroyed.
Final fight against King Olly
After defeating the forklift, a final staircase leads up to the throne room. Before you go through the big door, you should definitely save again. Directly opposite the bank will you also find one? Block with another treasure mini.
Enter the throne room where King Olly is waiting for you. After a short cutscene, he explains his motivation and begins the final battle of the game.
In the first section of the boss fight, Olly uses the powers of the four parchmenta. Several folding circles appear on the arena and Olly accidentally turns into one of the known forms. The basic mechanics you already know from the previous battles against the parchmenta, but some sequences are slightly different.
Earth Vellumental At this stage, you have to adjust your strategy easily. Instead of attacking the individual limbs, you should first summon the Ice Vellumental to freeze Olly. Once the boss is immobilized, you can knock him over with the folding arms and land several hits.
Water Vellumental The Water Dragon attacks you with strong wave attacks. Use the Earth Vellumental to block the attack. Then Olly falls to the ground and you can attack him with the folding arms.
Fire Vellumental In this form, Olly distributes burning feathers throughout the arena. Summon the Water Vellumental to put out the flames and cool the boss. Then you can attack him in the next round with the folding arms.
Ice Vellumental The boss creates a large ice labyrinth on the arena. Turn the rings so that you form a path to the folding circle. Once you reach it, summon the Fire Vellumental to melt the boss’s defense. After that, you can cause damage again with the folding arms.
The fight is overall less complicated than the previous boss fights. Just be careful not to spend too much time on your moves, because Olly can slowly regenerate his health during the fight.
After several successful attacks, the first part of the final battle is finally won.
Final against King Olly
But Olly is not beaten yet. After his defeat, he develops his entire origami power and turns into a giant origami boss.
In order to stand against this new form, Olivia intervenes and transforms Bowser into a gigantic origami version of himself. Now begins a spectacular final fight.
While Bowser fights Olly directly, you must support him. Run behind Bowser to the folding circle and use the folding arms to hit the ground. The resulting shock waves help Bowser push Olly back step by step.
Of course, Olly continues to try to stop you. Again and again he throws origami throwing stars at Mario, which you have to avoid. In addition, large obstacles occasionally appear on the arena, which can block your way to the folding circle.
Just before Olly falls into the abyss, he summons a huge origami rock over you. Therefore, do not stay on the folding circle for too long and dodge in time, otherwise you will be defeated immediately.
In the final section of the battle, you must also solve a large ring puzzle under time pressure. First you have to move several fields and then rotate the rings until the image is completely assembled.
If you have successfully solved the puzzle, you can attack Olly one last time. With a massive blow from the Olivia Hammer, the boss is finally defeated.
