Golden Passage

Wario Land 4 guide hub

Defeat Cractus, Cuckoo Condor, Aerodent and Catbat to open Golden Passage. Wario lands on the Frog Switch as he enters, so the Normal-mode 9:30 countdown begins immediately. Collect all four Jewel Pieces and the Keyzer during that run. There is no CD.

Chandeliers and the first Jewel Piece

Move right, watching for a chandelier shaking before it falls. Cross the small collapsing platforms without stopping. Falling into the lower water forces you to repeat part of the route and costs valuable time.

In the water section, use the rising bubble to overcome the current. Steer upward into the dry niche for the first Jewel Piece, then return to the water and take the right-hand ascent. Check that you opened the chest before leaving the room.

Hammer room, snow and bat flight

Drop down the floor shaft in the hammer-enemy room for the second Jewel Piece. The pipe returns you above. Become Spring Wario and jump up the high shaft to continue. In the following section, avoid the skeleton bird while you still need to stand on the thin platforms; Zombie Wario would fall through them.

The apple transformation opens a diamond detour through heavy flooring, but leave that optional search if the timer is tight. Continue through the snow tunnel, choosing the intended rolling route rather than letting falling snow send you back along the wrong path.

Become Bat Wario after the tunnel. Fly up and left to the third Jewel Piece, avoiding the candles until you have the chest. Continue through the upper route on the right and restore normal Wario for the next rolling section.

Fourth Jewel Piece and Keyzer

Descend the ladder, activate the exclamation switch on the right and climb back up. Roll from the slope through the barriers to the fourth Jewel Piece. Break the blocks below it and drop into the water, which loops back toward the ladder.

On the right, pick up the small professor enemy and throw it to clear the low passage. Return to the upper slope and start rolling again. Jump across both gaps with enough momentum to reach the Keyzer on the raised path. If you drop into the water too early, return to the slope for another attempt.

With all four pieces and the Keyzer, drop into the water and follow the return current left. Take the pipe near the beginning and enter the vortex. Do not spend the last seconds pursuing optional crystals on that final loop.

Boss: Golden Diva

The final battle allows 6:00 on Normal. To retain the twelve treasure chests collected from the main bosses, aim to finish before the timer falls below two minutes. Watch the chests in the background: winning just before time expires can still leave you with a worse ending.

Break the fan and attack the face

Wait for a circling mask to approach, jump on it and pick it up. Charge a throw into Golden Diva’s fan. Repeat with the other masks while avoiding being caught by one in flight.

After the fan is gone, use the boss’s own objects against her. Stun the green enemy with a jump and throw it upward. Shoulder-charge the blue bear ball back toward her. Catch a black egg in the air and throw it promptly at the face before it becomes another hazard.

For the hammer, wait until the spikes retract, pick it up and throw it straight upward. Stand underneath so that it turns Wario into Spring Wario, then position below Golden Diva and spring into her face. Clear an explosive object from your route before running after the next attack opportunity.

Survive the collapsing floor

Move away from the announced head-slam position and jump as the impact lands. When Golden Diva’s head is lowered, attack from the side with a jumping shoulder charge. Choose a safe landing before attacking; the damaged floor and exposed spikes make an uncontrolled follow-up dangerous.

Near the end, only the lips remain. Hit them to finish the battle, then escape the pyramid with Shokora.

Recover missing treasures after the ending

Save after finishing, then revisit any main boss whose chests disappeared. Win faster, checking the background chests, and use an Item Shop purchase if that helps secure all three. Defeat Golden Diva again after improving the collection to see the corresponding Shokora ending.

Check the sixteen CDs in the Sound Room. For an additional score challenge, revisit the levels and reach 10,000 points for each Gold Crown. Hard and S-Hard are separate runs with changed placements and time limits; the Normal-mode routes above are not a substitute for those versions.
