Bob-omb Battlefield Walkthrough

Mission 1: Big Bob-omb on the Summit

As soon as you can move, cross the bridge past the Chain Chomp and continue over the next bridge.
Then go through the hole in the fence and run up the steep hill. Make sure to keep holding forward,
otherwise you will slide back down.

Once at the top, head right and continue up the hill until you see a hole. Jump in and stand in the center —
you will be launched to the top. Continue upward to Big Bob-omb.
Talk to him, then run in circles around him until you can grab him from behind and throw him.
Repeat this three times to earn the first star.

Mission 2: Footrace with Koopa the Quick

Go to Koopa the Quick and talk to him. He will challenge you to a race. Accept and start immediately.
For maximum speed, use the Z-trigger to perform long jumps (press Z and then A right after).

Run past the Chain Chomp bridge, over the next bridge, through the hole in the fence,
pass the rolling balls on the right, and head up the mountain. Do not take shortcuts,
or you will be disqualified.

If you reach the top before Koopa, you will earn another star. Target time: under 1’32″00.

Mission 3: Shoot to the Island in the Sky

First, talk to the pink Bob-omb and ask him to open the cannons.
Then jump into the cannon and launch yourself to the area next to the floating island.

There you will find another cannon. Enter it, aim for the center of the island,
then move the cursor upward until you see the sky.
Fire and land on the island. Jump under the yellow block to receive the third star.

Mission 4: Find the 8 Red Coins

• 1. To the left of the first bridge
• 2. Under the floating island on a hill
• 3. On the wooden post near the Chain Chomp
• 4. & 5. To the left after the second bridge between wooden posts
• 6. Drop down along the fence (includes a 1-Up Mushroom)
• 7. On the steep slope – walk straight, do not jump or attack
• 8. On the floating island (reachable via cannon)

Once you collect all eight Red Coins, the star appears where coins 4 and 5 were located.

Mission 5: Mario Wings to the Sky

For this mission, you need the Wing Cap.
Fly to the floating island and use the cannon there.

Aim through all coin rings one after another. If you pass through the center,
a number will appear. Collect all five numbers to receive the star.

Mission 6: Behind Chain Chomp’s Gate

Go across the bridge to the giant Chain Chomp. He is tied to a post.
Perform three ground pounds on the wooden stake (press A + Z).

After being freed, the Chain Chomp will break the gate — the final star is yours.

Extra: Collect 100 Coins

Collect a total of 100 coins to automatically receive an additional star.
In Bob-omb Battlefield, there are 146 coins available:

• 8 Red Coins (= 16 Yellow Coins)
• 6 coins in two small boxes
• 3 coins in one large box
• 25 coins from wooden posts (run around them three times)
• 23 coins from defeated enemies
• 1 Blue Coin (= 5 Yellow Coins) from the small Koopa
• 23 coins scattered throughout the level
• 45 coins in the sky
