This Super Mario 64 Jolly Roger Bay walkthrough shows you how to collect all Power Stars in the level, including the sunken ship, red coins, and hidden secrets.

Mission 1: Plunder in the Sunken Ship

Once you enter the level, jump into the water and swim forward until you reach a large open area.
Get some air, then dive down until you see the sunken ship.

Swim to the middle of the ship and look to the right — you will find Unagi the eel guarding the entrance.
Swim in front of him to lure him out, then swim back up. This should clear the entrance.
If not, repeat the process until the path is free.

Inside the ship, you will find four chests. Open them in the correct order (as shown in the images)
by swimming into their locks. If you choose the wrong one, you will get shocked.
Once all chests are opened correctly, the water drains and you can collect the star.

Mission 2: Can the Eel Come Out to Play?

Swim back down to where the ship was. Look around until you find Unagi hiding in a corner.
Swim in front of his face to provoke him — be careful, he may try to bite you.

After he comes out, follow him. At the end of his tail, you will see a star.
Touch it and collect it.

If you miss it, Unagi will eventually return to his hiding spot and you will need to lure him out again.

Mission 3: Treasure of the Ocean Cave

Dive back down to where the ship used to be. Be careful — Unagi now swims freely near the bottom.

Look for a small cave underwater. Swim through the ring of coins to earn an extra life.
Inside the cave, you will find a switch on the right — activate it to spawn six blue coins.

At the end of the cave, you will find four treasure chests.
Open them in the correct order (see images). Once the fourth chest is opened, the star appears.

Mission 4: Red Coins on the Ship Afloat

1. In a clam near the starting area
2. In another clam near the edge of the abyss
3. At the bottom in a clam
4. In a clam on a small sandbank near the shore
5. On top of the pole near the cannon
6. At the front (bow) of the ship
7. At the back (stern) of the ship
8. Also at the back of the ship on the raised platform

To reach the ship, either use the cannon or take the path across the platforms by activating the switch.
Once all eight Red Coins are collected, the star appears on the ship.

Mission 5: Blast to the Stone Pillar

Use the cannon you unlocked earlier. Aim slightly above the stone pillar on the left,
as you will lose height while flying.

Grab onto the pillar, then jump onto the nearby ledge to collect the star.

Mission 6: Through the Jet Stream

For this mission, you need the Metal Cap, which you unlock later in the game.
Once you have it, go to the Bob-omb area and swim across to the nearby shore.

Activate the Metal Cap and jump into the water. You will sink to the bottom.
In the center, you will see a jet stream with the star inside.

With the Metal Cap, you can move through the current and collect the star.
Without it, you will be pushed away. This mission may require some practice.
