Rainbow Ride Walkthrough

Mission 1: Cruiser Crossing the Rainbow
After entering the level, step onto the flying carpet. Jump over obstacles and avoid the fire, but do not stay off the carpet too long or it will disappear.
After the first section, move across the rotating platforms to the next carpet. Continue jumping across blocks.
At the end, you must choose between two carpets depending on your position. Do not take the one leading to the glass blocks.
Ride the carpet upward to the flying ship. Strong winds will push you back here, so move carefully to the front and jump onto the ship to grab the star.
Mission 2: The Big House in the Sky
Return to the carpet split and take the other path this time.
You will need to cross glass blocks using backflips or by climbing onto nearby platforms first.
Inside the house, briefly leave the carpet to avoid the flames from the chimney.
Continue along the path, carefully navigating more glass blocks and fire sections.
At the end of the rainbow path, you will find the star.
Mission 3: Coins Amassed in a Maze
From the rotating platforms, go straight toward the maze where all eight Red Coins are located.
Activate the blue switch and use wall jumps to reach higher platforms.
At the top, speak to the Bob-omb Buddy to unlock the cannon for later use.
Collect the Red Coins throughout the maze. Most are grouped closely together but require precise jumping techniques such as wall jumps and long jumps.
Once all eight coins are collected, the star will appear.
Mission 4: Swingin‘ in the Breeze
Return to the rotating platforms and go down the left side toward the pole.
Climb down and head right, then use the swinging platforms to move upward.
Navigate past falling platforms and fire hazards until you reach the yellow platform.
Climb the stairs and use another swinging platform to reach the star.
Mission 5: Tricky Triangles!
Follow the same route as in Mission 4 to reach the upper area.
This time, go right and jump across the triangular platforms.
Activate the switch to turn them into solid platforms.
Quickly climb upward before they change back, and collect the star at the top.
Mission 6: Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Return to the flying ship. If you have already unlocked the cannon (Mission 3), use it.
Aim through the ring and launch yourself toward the pole.
Climb up and open the box to obtain the star.
Extra: Collect 100 Coins
Collect 100 coins to receive an additional star. There are 146 coins available:
- 8 Red Coins (= 16 Yellow Coins)
- 7 Blue Coins (= 35 Yellow Coins)
- 23 Yellow Coins from enemies
- 73 Yellow Coins scattered throughout the level
