Interlude before Chapter 3

Paper Mario guide hub

Princess Peach in search of information

You take on the role of Princess Peach again. After a short conversation with Bowser, you can move around the room. Go to the poster and activate the switch. Through the fireplace you reach first in Bowser’s room and from there into the large hall. Watch out, because here are guards with flashlights that must not light you. Find the first door from the left and go inside. There are also guards in the library. Sneak past them behind their backs. Between two shelves, you can find the Badges Power Rush. If you have this one, you leave the library again and walk into the back door from the right in the hall. In this room you will find the Badges Meditation. You can put both badges in the treasure chest so Mario can pick them up right away. Once you have done this, you go back to the library and follow the path to the end. Here you can listen to two guards telling of Tubba Blubba in the Forever Forest. Shortly afterwards you get caught and the scene changes back to Mario.

The Road Back to Toad Town

From Mamar you will now learn the star power “lullaby”. Then you can leave the desert and make your way to Mt. Rugged. It’s best to collect a whicka kick before you go to the train. At the point where you first met Parakarry, you will find a gray Thwomp, which you can now destroy with your hammer. Behind it you will find a super block with which you should raise Goombario to the super rank. Get on the train and return to Toad Town.

The Abbreviations in the Underground World – Blooper #2

Once you have arrived, you will visit the underground world of Taod-Town and crumble the gray Thwomp on the left. A fight against the Zapp-Blooper awaits you. A slightly stronger variant of Blooper, which you have defeated before. Best you attack Blooper with a few power jumps. With Goombario, you should use recharging and attack Blooper with the headbonk after three rounds in order to do as much damage as possible. When Blooper charges electrically, it’s best to send Goombario to catch that electricity, otherwise you’ll have to take a pretty strong attack from Blooper. Once you defeat him, you get 22 star points and a blue switch appears.

Letter exchanges #1

If you activate this switch, three tubes appear that take you to three different locations on the map. The warp pipe on the far left leads you into the dust dry outpost. The warp pipe on the far right, on the other hand, will take you to Goomba Village. This is where your first task begins. Switch to Parakarry and talk to Gumpapa. He gives him a letter, as a reward you will receive a new letter for Muff T. in Toad-Town. Furthermore, with a little luck, you can meet Quizmo in Goomba Village, who asks you a question again. (All the right answers to Quizmo can be found here.) Afterwards go into the house and talk to Goompa, who still has a band for Mekoopalem. Once you have done this, you can still find a camouflage in Goomba Village. Go to the place where the balcony landed at the beginning of the game. Here you will find a gray block, if you have smashed it, you have to jump there in the middle for an invisible block to appear.

Mekoopalem’s Little Favor #1

Go back to the warp pipe and use the middle one. You land in Koopa clan clan Village. Talk to Mekoopalem and hand him the tape. His next request is a cup of Koopa clan clan clan tea. Before you can do him that favor, there is still something to do in Koopa clan clan Village. Visit the Toad at the Toad House of Koopa clan clan Village and hand him the letter with the help of Parakarry. As a reward, you will receive a Star Piece. Look for a Turtley Leaf in the bushes and then return to Toad Town.

Letter exchanges #2

Here you talk to Omle T. and ask her to cook something with the help of the Turtley Leaf. If you have the Koopa clan clan clan tea, head north. Here you talk to Rowf and, if available, buy the badges Multibounce and Double Dip. Then you go to Merlon and give him a letter. Again, you will receive a Star Piece as a reward. The last letter is delivered to the Toad in front of Princess Peach’s Castle. But instead of giving you a Star Piece, you get another letter. Now you can return to Koopa clan clan Village.

Mekoopalem’s Little Favor #2

Give Mekoopalem the Koopa clan clan clan tea and you will receive three Star Pieces for the reward. His next wish is an autograph by Luigi, you can also fulfill this favor right away. Before you talk to the Koopa clan clan clan in front of the Toad House in Koopa clan clan Village. If you have delivered the letter with Parakarry, he will also give you a new one. Leave Koopa clan clan Village and visit the western part of Toad Town. At the port you will find Fischmael, to whom you should deliver the letter. He gives you the answer for this Koopa clan clan clan directly. Next, visit the entrance of Toad-Town. Here you can find a green warp pipe upstairs, which leads you to Mario Bros.‘ House, where Luigi is already eagerly waiting for you. Talk to him to get the desired autograph.

Mekoopalem’s Little Favors #3

The racing has not ended and you have to go to Koopa clan clan Village again. Hand over the autograph and listen to Mekoopalem’s next request. The lost wallet can be found in the western part of Koopa clan clan Village in the bush near the storage block. With a little luck, you can take the Quizmo quiz again and win another Star Pieces. Now hand over the letter to Koover in front of the Toad House and then bring back the wallet Mekoopalem. Next, Mekoopalem wants to have a Tasty Tonic.

Letter exchange #3

But first go to the dust dry outpost and hand over Koover’s letter to Mr. E. (he also stands in front of the Toad House). The next writing you have to bring to Toad-Town. Speak to the Toad lady who has an orange head and also hand over this letter. (She is at the entrance of Toad Town in front of the dojo). Once you have done this, you will find another supermarket in the western part of Toad-Town, where a tastey tonic is also sold for 5 coins. Get one and give it to Mekoopalem.

Everyone is looking for your help

Listen to his next task and then go back to the dust dry outpost. Speak to the owner of the store and hand him the letter. This sidequest would be completed for now. Next up is Star Hill. The upper path led you to the top, the lower one leads you to the fortune teller that Mekoopalem mentioned. Enter the house and first look at the treasure chest. Here you will find the Badges Power Rush and meditation you had previously placed in the chest as Princess Peach in the castle. Then talk to Merluvlee and ask her for an autograph. However, she wants her crystal ball back. Before you leave the house, you can go to the 1. Trade the Badges Attack FX R for a Star Piece.

The feet flat and Mekoopalem happy for now

Then go back to the dust dry outpost. To the right of Toad House, you can see some boxes in the background, jump over them and talk to Merlee. This moves the crystal ball out and you can return to the shooting star summit and have the autograph given to you. You will present Mekoopalem in Koopa clan clan Village and receive three Star Pieces for it. In this way, you have also initially fulfilled all the tasks of Mekoopalem.

The Secrets in the Channel of Toad-Town

Now go back to the underground world using the blue warp pipe. To the left of the tubes you will find another gray block blocking the path. Do you smash this one, can you get behind it in one? Block find a snow puppet. Follow the path through the warp pipe and then continue on the right. With the help of Parakarry, you can get a Star Piece at the end of the way. Turn around and follow the path to the left. Here you will find at the end a treasure chest with the Badges Power Smash, which you should also create immediately.

Pieks-Gloomba 7 3 0

On the road to Chapter 3

Leave Underground World and walk right across the bridge from Toad Town. You also hear a scream (hearing is relative, rather a lettering appears), it is the guardian who apparently sees ghosts. Get to the bottom of it and follow the path to the right. It is best to save the event once. Shortly before the entrance to the forest you will also be welcomed by a butler who invites you to the villa at the end of the Never-Forest. Follow him and the third chapter begins!
