Travel through Dinosaur Land, open the four Switch Palaces and follow the hidden branches to Star World and the Special Zone. This guide covers the original SNES version of Super Mario World, including its level maps, secret exits, Koopalings and Bowser.
The save-file target is 96 exits. Clear both goals in branching stages, including Star World’s normal goals even when they do not open a new path. Dragon Coins and 3-Up Moons provide extra lives; the permanent Dragon Coin collection menu belongs to Super Mario Advance 2. Mario and Luigi share the same movement in the SNES game.

Saving and cleanup
Take a save prompt after a castle, fortress or Ghost House before switching off. If you need another save opportunity, revisit an accessible Ghost House. Clearing a stage through a different exit matters even when the map path looks familiar. Finishing Funky changes the SNES world’s appearance, but check the saved file number before considering the exit route complete.
