There are seven hidden 3-Up Moons in Super Mario World. Each gives three extra lives. Most are easiest to reach with a cape; they are separate from the 96-exit counter.
Yoshi’s Island 1
Fly to the cloud ledge near the middle of the stage, left of the high cloud row and 1-Up block. The world chapter includes the full level map.
Donut Plains 4
Use a cape to reach the cloud ledge above the Goomba area near the item block. The world chapter includes the full level map.
Vanilla Dome 3
Near the orange pipes and hidden feather, fly to the high ledge on the left. The world chapter includes the full level map.
Cheese Bridge Area
Pass below the ordinary goal and collect the Moon between that goal and the second gate. The world chapter includes the full level map.
Forest Ghost House
Take the farther-left door on the upper return corridor. The Moon is on the secret goal screen. The world chapter includes the full level map.
Chocolate Island 1
Take the first cannon pipe, then fly to the cloud block over the first bowl-shaped valley. The world chapter includes the full level map.
Valley of Bowser 1
After the checkpoint, use the upper passage beyond the Munchers. It leads above the checkpoint area to the Moon. The world chapter includes the full level map.
