Acorn Plains Way
- Star Coin 1 Right at the beginning, after the second squirrel. Use your Flying Squirrel Suit to reach the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 2 Immediately afterwards go into the tube underground. There you will find the second Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3 After the flag you will find a slightly higher platform. Jump on this one. Using your Flying Squirrel Suit, follow the coins to the tube. In the next section you now float down and follow the coins until you get to the Star Coin (it’s in the middle).
Tilted Tunnel
- Star Coin 1 Located on the way and cannot be overlooked.
- Star Coin 2 After the flag you will find a Koopa. Collect this and throw it against the upper Brick Block to make a vine appear. Climb into the tube and let yourself be shot into the sky.
- Star Coin 3 Where an arrow points downward on a sign, you must use a Ground Pound. The blocks move and you reach the pipe. Use it and you will get to the Star Coin.
- Secret Exit: Where you find the red coin ring, you can climb up using the block. Just before the Brick Blocks you can jump up again using the block. Now follow the path to the end and you will end up at the secret exit.
Blooper’s Secret Lair
- Star Coin 1 Not to be missed. Wait for the tubes to turn away and you can swim to the top.
- Star Coin 2 Where you see the second Star Coin, you first have to dive slightly under the tubes and then swim to the coin.
- Star Coin 3 Shortly before the goal, near the three tubes you will find a row of coins, which shows you which tube you have to swim into (the middle one).
Crushing-Cogs Tower
- Star Coin 1 Go up the first gear and then keep right. Use the wall jump to get further up. There is a narrow gap where the Star Coin floats.
- Star Coin 2 Freeze the Dry Bones near the coin ring. Now jump into the middle of the coin ring to activate a secret block. With a wall jump you get to it and from there you can jump to the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3 After the flag near the gears, you have to keep right to find a hole in the wall. Jump up to reach the Star Coin.
Yoshi Hill
- Star Coin 1 After you get Yoshi, you can reach the Star Coin with a Flutter Jump.
- Star Coin 2 You can easily see two Brick Blocks in the ground. Use the Ground Pound here to get to a pipe. With Yoshi you can jump onto the Piranha Plants and reach the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3 Between the high platforms, you can see a red pipe. Jump down and you’ll find the last Star Coin.
Mushroom Heights
- Star Coin 1 Use the pink Baby Yoshi to float to the upper mushroom platform where the first Star Coin is.
- Star Coin 2 After the flag, the Star Coin floats under the mushroom platform. Use the Baby Yoshi to escape certain death.
- Star Coin 3 The Star Coin is on a small platform between the giant Piranha Plants. It’s best to defeat the plants with the Fire Flower to then reach the Star Coin.
Rise of the Piranha Plants
- Star Coin 1 You can’t miss it, it floats above a giant piranha plant.
- Star Coin 2 Where the giant Piranha plant blocks the pipe, you have to defeat it with a Fire Flower. Behind it you will find three more giant Piranha plants, which block the way to the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3 Shortly before the goal, the Star Coin floats above the Hammer Bro.
Lemmy’s Swingback Castle
- Star Coin 1 The coin floats between two platforms.
- Star Coin 2 Also not to be overlooked. Use the Flying Squirrel Suit to reach the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3 Just above the lava you will see a pipe that will take you directly to the Star Coin. Be careful not to land in the lava when collecting.
