Spinning-Star Sky
- Star Coin 1 Jump from the big rotating star onto the Koopa Paratroopa and from there continue to the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 2 You will see a small cave with a block. As a flying squirrel you can easily reach this area. There is a vine in the block that leads you to a plateau with the coin.
- Star Coin 3 Where the Piranha Plants are, you will find a ledge at the end of the first row. The last Star Coin is hidden here.
Cooligan Fields
- Star Coin 1 This coin cannot be missed. The blue baby Yoshi or an ice flower is helpful.
- Star Coin 2 You can find the second coin between the two pipes with the many coins. It’s best to jump up the pipe from the block to reach the coin.
- Star Coin 3 Shortly after the second Star Coin you come to a long slide. Use the blocks above the ice to get up to the last Star Coin.
Freezing-Rain Tower
- Star Coin 1 The first Star Coin is quite obviously on the second, teetering platform.
- Star Coin 2 The second Star Coin cannot be overlooked either. Move quickly to collect it before the platform carries you past.
- Star Coin 3 This coin is a little more hidden. Don’t follow the coins, hold the one on the left to find a secret passage in the wall with the coin.
Prickly Goombas!
- Star Coin 1 Search the pipe with a Prickly Goomba and several normal Goombas. Use a Fire Flower to burn down the Prickly Goomba and enter the pipe. In the following room you will find the Star Coin. After the checkpoint you first look for a Yoshi. Enter the large ice roller and go to the right wall, where there is a secret room with a Yoshi egg.
- Star Coin 2 For this coin you need Yoshi, you can find him in a hidden block after the flag (see screenshot). Now use the green tube above the second reel. In the new room you can easily jump over the spiked Goombas with Yoshi and easily collect the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3 This coin cannot be missed. Use a Yoshi jump again to reach them.
Scaling the Mountainside
- Star Coin 1 Shortly before the Star Coin you will find an Super Acorn. As a squirrel you can easily float to the coin.
- Star Coin 2 A little later you will find coin #2 above the Bullet Bills. Your costume will help you here too.
- Star Coin 3 The last coin is a little more hidden. There is a secret passage near the rock with the ledge and the two coins that you can use.
Icicle Caverns
- Star Coin 1 Move quickly through this section. With the suspiciously large icicle, you have to reach the room behind it quickly enough before the path is blocked. Your effort will be rewarded with a Star Coin.
- Star Coin 2 You will find a green tube near the ice brother. Either you jump on his head or you fly to the tube as a squirrel. There’s no other way to reach it. In the new room, let one icicle fall down and then get the second coin.
- Star Coin 3 For the last coin you have to show a lot of effort again. Reach the end of the level faster than the icicles fall. If you don’t succeed, you can alternatively fly up to the coin (assuming you still have the Flying Squirrel Suit).
Swaying Ghost House
- Star Coin 1 Not to be missed. The block above the coin is hollow on the inside. So you can walk to the coin.
- Star Coin 2 You can get the second Star Coin in the room with four doors. You enter the room through the top left door. The door below you is blocked by a wall and leads to the Star Coin. Use the P Switch to turn the walls into coins and then go through the bottom left door. Don’t collect the coins, just activate the P Switch! Now run to the right and wait until the blocks build a staircase for you to the coin.
- Star Coin 3 You can find the last Star Coin in the area where you use the P button to create the stone level, which you can move up by jumping. Jump up to the ceiling to reach a secret area in the middle of the room. There you will find a door that will take you to a new area. Here again you will find a P switch that you have to press. Quickly run to the right and make your way through the coins. The last Star Coin is between two walls. Use the wall jump to reach them.
- Secret Exit Once you’ve made it to the third Star Coin, all you have to do is keep going to activate the secret exit.
Wendy’s Shifting Castle
- Star Coin 1 The first Star Coin is hidden in front of the checkpoint behind the last stone block. Wait until it falls down and then grab the coin.
- Star Coin 2 For this Star Coin you have to activate the invisible block. You can then enter the green tube. Be careful not to get hit by the small jumping stone blocks and get the second coin.
- Star Coin 3 After the roughest part is over, you will find a green pipe (where the coins lead you). On the other side you will find a few floating platforms that, with a little skill, will lead you to the Star Coin.
Fliprus Lake
- Star Coin 1 You will find the first Star Coin on the way. Dressed up as a poinsettia, she “hangs” on one of the Christmas trees.
- Star Coin 2 You will find a green pipe above the two Flipruses. It’s best to freeze the monsters to get to the top. After the green tube, all you have to do is collect the second coin alive.
- Star Coin 3 The last Star Coin is near the end of the level. You will reach a crate that will block your path if you don’t let it sink slightly. Use this crate as a springboard and fly across the ceiling to reach a secret room with the Star Coin.
