F3 – Hotel Shops Walkthrough
In this part of the Luigi’s Mansion 3 walkthrough, you explore Floor 3, track down the chambermaid ghost, and recover the elevator button for Floor 3. Along the way, you’ll unlock Gooigi and learn how to use him to solve puzzles. We also show you how to collect all remaining gems in B1 and Floor 1 with clear step-by-step instructions.
Restroom
To the left of the elevator, you’ll find a door leading to the shops – however, you need a key first. Head to the right toward the restrooms. On the eastern wall, there is a telephone. Use the Dark-Light Device next to it to reveal a hidden object. When you pick up the receiver, a Gold Ghost will appear.
Of the two restrooms, only the right one can be entered. Break open the door and collect the key from the toilet bowl. Use the Dark-Light Device on the floor to reveal a drain grate. Drop down with Gooigi and turn the valve on the left to shut off the water. Switch back to Luigi, then use Gooigi to enter the pipe on the wall to reach the other restroom. On the toilet seat in the left restroom, you’ll find the purple gem (1/6).
Gem 5 – Restroom
Reveal the floor grate with the Dark-Light Device and go through it with Gooigi. Turn the valve below, switch to Luigi, then open the pipe and slide through as Gooigi to collect the gem.
Accessory Shop (Diamonds)
You can now open the previously locked door using the key. Inside, you’ll encounter the boss of this floor, Kruller. He locks himself inside the security office using an elevator button. To enter the office, you need the Spade Key. First, pick up the Diamond Key in front of the office.
Head to the Accessory Shop (Diamonds) in the northwest corner of the mall. To the left of the entrance, you can reveal a ladder using the Dark-Light Device. Climb up and follow the path to the right to find a chest containing the green gem (2/6).
Use Gooigi to slip through the grates into the shop and grab a heavy suitcase in the middle using a Suction Shot. Use it to smash the glass displays and obtain the yellow gem (3/6). Then open the register using the Diamond Key. Defeat the ghosts that appear and collect the Heart Key.
Gem 4 – Mall Area
Reveal the ladder left of the shop with the Dark-Light Device, climb up, and open the chest.
Gem 6 – Accessories
Break the glass display using a suitcase to collect the gem.
Boutique (Hearts)
The Boutique is located in the lower-right area. Enter with Gooigi and fire a Suction Shot at the mannequin on the left side. Pulling it will trigger a mechanism that opens a hidden room. Above the chest, on a beam, you’ll find the red gem (4/6).
Use the Heart Key on the register and flash the sensor behind it. This reveals another hidden area containing lots of money and ghosts. After defeating them, you’ll receive the Spade Key.
Gem 2 – Boutique
Pull the left mannequin with a Suction Shot and collect the gem from the hidden room.
Souvenir Shop (Spades)
The Souvenir Shop is located in the upper-right corner of the mall. As soon as you enter with Gooigi, the register disappears. Use the Dark-Light Device to reveal it again. Open it to obtain the Club Key.
Ghosts will appear, some wearing sunglasses. You cannot stun them directly—first suck away their glasses, then flash them. Afterward, thoroughly search the shop and the connected café for additional money and hidden items.
Barbershop (Clubs)
Unlike the other shops, the Barbershop (bottom-left) is completely closed. You must use both Luigi and Gooigi at the same time to vacuum the club symbols above the sign to open the entrance.
Enter with Gooigi and spin the two barber chairs using your Poltergust to spawn two Gold Ghosts. Then scan the room with the Dark-Light Device to reveal hidden objects, including the register. Open it to receive the Spade Key.
Boss: Kruller
On your way back to the security office, you’ll encounter a new type of ghost. When the red Slammer charges at you, you cannot stun it immediately—dodge its attack first. Once stunned, you must vacuum it from behind, as attacking from the front will not work. These enemies have 200 HP.
Inside the security office, the boss flees into the lost-and-found room armed with a water gun, separated by bars. You can only enter with Gooigi. Suck away his sunglasses while avoiding water attacks. Once done, flash him and vacuum him up.
As a reward, you’ll receive the elevator button for Floor 2.
Outside the office, interact with the vending machine on the right. Flash it six times to spawn the blue gem (5/6).
Return to the mall and go to the gate opposite the Souvenir Shop. Open it with a Burst (ZL + ZR) and follow the path to find a chest containing the white gem (6/6).
Gem 1 – Elevator Hall
Go up the escalator in the main hall and open the gate on the right using a Burst. Follow the path to the gem.
Gem 3 – Corridor
Activate the vending machine multiple times to reveal the gem.
