The wreck blocking the entrance requires Super Suction. First return to B2 with Toad for the upgrade parts, then explore the pirate grotto and defeat Captain Fishhook.
First arrival and upgrade mission
Inspect the wrecked ship obstructing the hallway. E. Gadd sends Luigi back to B2 to find Toad and the missing parts. Complete the separate Boilerworks return chapter, bring the parts to the laboratory and obtain Super Suction before trying to remove the wreck.
Use Super Suction
Connect Luigi’s Poltergust to the socket and clear the obstructing ship and corridor furnishings. Follow the red floor trail to the hidden blue-gem X. Fire the solid globe behind reception at the right hanging sphere for the yellow gem.
Grotto Lounge and beach
Restore the missing pulley with Dark-Light in the grotto for the white gem. On the beach, launch coconuts at the left mermaid statue until it releases a crystal ghost. Inspect the pier and ring its bell to call the ghost ship.
Captain Fishhook — possessed deck
Keep away from the deck’s shark mouth. Vacuum a lit powder barrel and fire it into the open mouth. The explosion ejects Fishhook; dodge his lunge, flash his exposed form and capture him. Repeat as more barrels and attacks enter the arena.
Tilting ship
When the deck tilts toward the open mouth, attach Suction Shot to the safe anchor point and hold on. Wait until the ship levels before releasing and resuming the powder-barrel attacks. The same mouth opening remains the opportunity to damage the possessed ship.
Toad and treasure map
After the boss, free the Toad painting with Dark-Light. Climb to the ship’s upper-left barrel, remove its sheet and inspect the treasure map. Return to the right beach and reveal the invisible bridges. Vacuum the first island’s sand for purple, then restore the farther island’s treasure chest for green.
Moon achievement and next floor
Use the cannon on the ship’s deck to shoot the moon if completing its achievement. Escort Toad back to the elevator and install the 13F button. Super Suction also makes the missing green gem and ghost orchestra on 4F accessible.
Gems and floor completion
Use the six-colour list to finish this floor. Check the required return visit before trying a route that needs Gooigi, Super Suction or the later Toad mission.
