Follow the Dog

Take the elevator back down to Floor 2 for another investigation. Around the corner, you’ll spot your dog, who clearly wants you to follow him. Naturally, you should do so. He leads you into the restaurant, where several ghosts are waiting. Capture them all, then head through the door on the right into the kitchen. Use your Poltergust together with Gooigi to vacuum up all the smoke.

Boss Fight: Chef Soulfflé

Now deal with the chef ghost, Chef Soulfflé. Use the Suction Shot to pull the pan out of his hands, then vacuum him up. Repeat this process until he is defeated.

• Gem 3 (blue) – Kitchen
  Grab the ice block from the freezer, turn on the stove, and melt it.

Two More Gems

After defeating him, you receive the elevator button for Floor 4—but a mouse immediately steals it. Time to chase it down. Use a piece of cheese in the restaurant to lure it out of its hole, then stun it with your flashlight and grab the button… but no, another mouse appears.

You’ll spot it in the corridor before it escapes into the billiard room. First defeat the two ghosts, then pull down the cabinets at the back to reveal the mouse, which once again escapes.

• Gem 2 (red) – Ballroom
  Spin the chandelier and collect the gem from the room on the left.
• Gem 6 (yellow) – Corridor
  Remove the sign in front of the double door and activate the fans simultaneously with Luigi and Gooigi.

The Final Gems and Elevator Button 4

Head back into the corridor and enter the first restroom. Open the middle stall, where you’ll find a swarm of mice. Stun the mouse with your flashlight and finally reclaim the elevator button. Now return to the elevator and head back to the Professor’s Lab in the basement (B1).

• Gem 1 (white) – Restroom
  Open the right door, vacuum away the newspaper, and defeat the gem ghost.
• Gem 5 (purple) – Billiard Room
  Pull the sword off the wall, suck it up, and throw it into the dartboard.

If you followed this guide, you should now have collected all gems on Floor 2!
