This Red Toad House Matching Game guide for New Super Mario Bros. Wii helps you identify the board and match its power-ups. Check the diagrams for your current world before choosing panels.
You can use the power-ups you win from the world map before entering a course. Save useful items for difficult levels or Star Coins that require a particular ability.
In single-player mode, rescuing a Toad can make another Toad House appear. Its colour depends on the final digit of the remaining time when you finish the course:
- 0–3: a green Toad House.
- 4–6: a red Toad House.
- 7–9: a gold Toad House.
For example, finishing with Toad and 256 seconds remaining produces a red Toad House.
The matching game uses 18 panels arranged in three rows of six. Climb the fence and press 1 on a sideways Wii Remote, or B when using the Nunchuk, to flip a panel. Match two identical power-ups to win that item. Revealing two Bowser panels or two Bowser Jr. panels ends the game.
Matching Game Boards
Each world has six possible board layouts. The available power-ups change as you progress: World 1 includes Super Mushrooms, while later worlds introduce Mini Mushrooms and Penguin Suits.
Use the identifying panels listed below each world heading, then compare the revealed symbols with layouts A–F. In these diagrams, rows are labelled A–C and columns are numbered 1–6. C1 is the bottom-left panel and A6 is the top-right panel.
