World 9-1
- Star Coin 1 The first Star Coin floats over a plateau. Before that is a row of green parakoopas. The easiest way is to use the green Koopa Troopas as a trampoline to reach them. This only works if the Koopa Troopas are at their highest point. Of course, it is even easier with a Propeller Suit.
- Star Coin 2 The second coin floats between three rotating platforms. Stand on the red one and jump to the left from there and use the Koopa Paratroopa below as a trampoline to reach it.
- Star Coin 3 The third fire-spitting piranha plant is in a warp pipe. Wait until it disappears in the pipe and then go into the pipe. In this secret section you have to go right to the platform. For this you use the Parakoppa or you have fortunately a Propeller Suit and can reach it so much easier.
World 9-2
- Star Coin 1 The first coin is under a platform that goes down as soon as you stand on it. But it is also easier and safer. Just grab the Koopa Troopa and throw it at the top of the right edge on the coin.
- Star Coin 2 Shortly after the first Star Coin comes a longer platform. Stand on this platform until you can go right into the pipe. In this underwater section you should get the Star Coin as quickly as possible and not touch the big fish at all. As soon as he attacks you, you should disappear. It is easier if you put him out of action with fireballs.
- Star Coin 3 The last Star Coins is behind two wooden block walls. To break through these, you have to grab the Koopa Troopa and throw it against the wall.
World 9-3
- Star Coin 1 After the extreme shelling by the Willi cannons, you will find a green pipe. Use it and activate the P Switch in this section. It is important that you choose the right way, because otherwise the coin is blocked again by wooden blocks. It is best to look at our solution picture before you try yourself.
- Star Coin 2 If you come out of the pipe, you can easily find the next one on the left above you. Use the Bullet Willis as a trampoline to reach it. Up there you activate the P Switch again. This time you run on the wooden blocks until you reach the next Star Coin at the end.
- Star Coin 3 The last Star Coin floats in the air just before the end. You can only reach it if you skilfully jump on the Giant Bullet Willis and have enough height. It is easier with the Propeller Suit.
World 9-4
- Star Coin 1: After you have defeated all opponents with the POW block, you can reach the first Star Coin by a Wall Jump.
- Star Coin 2 The second coin is a little harder to reach. It is best to freeze the piranha plant on top first. Next, freeze a bob-omb and drive it down. Always throw all other bobs off the platform. Spring left against the tube and use a Wall Jump to reach the Star Coin. If you have the right timing, then right on your departure from the platform comes to Star Coin, another bob-omb that pushes the platform back down. So you should manage to survive the whole situation safely. Again, it is of course easier with a Propeller Suit or a second player.
- Star Coin 3 ice cream flower needed! If you have the trick out, then the coin is not so difficult to reach. It is important that you jump on the red tube with the help of the platform and still have the Ice Flower there. Now stand a little further away from the edge. When the Piranha Plant comes out, you jump up and throw an ice ball at it. It freezes and you can enter the red tube and collect the last Star Coin.
World 9-5
- Star Coin 1 For the first coin, you must not jump up too quickly, but have to slide to the right and climb further up there.
- Star Coin 2 Activate first? Switch to make a platform appear. At best, it distracts all penguins and you can collect the Star Coin in peace with the help of a Wall Jump.
- Star Coin 3 Ice Flower/Penguin Suit Needed! Just before the goal, you freeze the three fuzzies. On the big wheel, however, it is best to stand on a wooden block so that you can safely linger on it for a while. If the right fuzzy is frozen, you have to wait for the right moment and then jump over.
World 9-6
- Star Coin 1 The first Star Coin is in a secret hiding place. Jump into the indentation you can see in the one rock. There is also the coin.
- Star Coin 2 The second coin can be reached by several wall jumps when the lava is just down.
- Star Coin 3 Just before the goal, you wait until the lava fountain is down and thus releases a jumping platform. With their help, you can jump right to the coin. The problem, however, is the way back. Wait until the platform goes down and then jump off with a start. By a rotation of the air you should then manage to reach the platform safely.

- Star Coin 1 Grab either the Propeller Block or a Propeller Suit and get ready for a hopping game. The first Star Coin you reach with either the Propeller Block or a Propeller Suit. It is best to start directly under the coin so that you do not miss it at all.
- Star Coin 2 After you have activated the P Switch, you also come to the second coin. Jump off a raise to collect the Star Coin behind the Fuzzys.
- Star Coin 3 Just before the finish, you have to stand on the wooden blocks and wait until the giant bullet Willis uncover the very last Star Coin in the game. Then you can collect them.
