World 1-1
- Star Coin 1 This coin hovers directly above the first Propeller Suit. Stand under her, jump up and shake the remote to reach her.
- Star Coin 2 The second coin is underground. Use the tube, which is in the rotating circle, you may have to wait for it. In the underground you can reach the coin through a skilful Wall Jump or the Propeller Suit.
- Star Coin 3 Just before the end of the line are still two small platforms in the air. Turn up with the help of the Propeller Suit and grab the last coin.
World 1-2
- Star Coin 1 Right at the beginning, the first coin floats in a column. Run and jump against the wall. Press the jump button (2) again to get to the coin.
- Star Coin 2 jump to the first red platform. By turning the remote, you can lift the platform to the left or right. Raise it to the right and go into the pipe. In this new area you will find the Star Coin above. Use the P Switch, which is located in a wall block.
- Star Coin 3: Just before the end, you can see a Star Coin between two tubes below. Go back and destroy the wall blocks through a Ground Pound (2+ D-pad below). If you are down thanks to the pipe, you have to pick up the POW block (2) and throw it on the floor. So the Star Coin simply falls down.
World 1-3
- Star Coin 1 After you got Yoshi, soon a Star Coin floats in the air. To achieve this, you have to make a Flutter Jump with Yoshi. To do this, just jump in the direction of the coin and hold the jump button.
- Star Coin 2 The second Star Coin is a little hidden. Find the place where many tubes are next to each other. Jump to the smallest tube and move to the right. Because actually it is two yellow tubes, but the lower one you can only use. It takes you underground, where you can reach the coin with the help of the flutter flight. Of course, the whole thing also works with the Propeller Suit.
- Star Coin 3 For this Star Coin you need Yoshi! Shortly before the goal at the red tube hovers high up a Star Coin. Jump on the pipe and get the coin with the Flutter Jump.
- Secret Exit: Shortly before the third Star Coin you can still find a secret exit. Either with the Propeller Suit or with Yoshi, you simply have to jump to the top of the platforms (see picture on the right). Up there you will also find some coins and the pipe that leads you to the secret exit. The red flag indicates that it is a secret exit.
World 1-Tower
- Star Coin 1 The first Star Coin can be found on the left. Use the swinging platform to get there. Under the Star Coin also appears a small platform, which makes the jump easier for you.
- Star Coin 2 Shortly after the first coin comes a path that continues on the left. Do not use this, because on the right is a secret path that leads you to the next Star Coin. You get into this aisle if you use Wall Jump.
- Star Coin 3 The last Star Coin is back on the right. Either with the Propeller Suit or through the Wall Jump you can go up. At this point there is also a pit between two platforms, there you can get a life again.
World 1-4
- Star Coin 1 Ice Flower is needed! You will quickly see the Star Coin over a red tube. To get to these, you have to throw ice blocks at the Cheep-Cheeps. These freeze and form a stable platform. Now you can easily jump to the coin.
- Star Coin 2 The second coin floats between two red tubes. To get them there are two variants. a Swim quickly up and jump out of the water. b Throw cheep cheeps with ice balls and quickly stand on them to be carried up. Use a Ground Pound if you don’t get out.
- Star Coin 3 Ice Flower is needed! This Star Coin is really nasty. It too cannot be overlooked and floats in a small bay. Over a pipe, a sea urchin floats, freezes it so that when it thaws, falls exactly on the pipe. The current subsides and you can just swim to the coin.
- Bonus: If you are a fan of red coins, you can also find some here. Before the fish crush of red and yellow cheep cheeps comes you have to go to an “island”. Simply freeze a fish and jump to the island thanks to the ice cube (see right). Up there you will find the switch that makes the red coins appear.
World 1-5
- Star Coin 1 Right after you have received the Propeller Suit, you can “fly” to the upper platform with it. Run and duck to get under the single block. Jump when you’re right under the block to make a vine grow to the sky. In this new section you will find the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 2 The second giant mushroom cube takes you to the next Star Coin. Either you slide down the block and jump in front of the gorge or you throw a Koopa shell at the coin.
- Star Coin 3 Just before the goal is the last Star Coin. Use the Propeller Suit to get to the coin. Or you just jump on the Koopa Troopa.
World 1-6
- Star Coin 1 Right at the beginning floats the first Star Coin. Either fly to her with the Propeller Suit or you jump on the Koopa Troopa once to reach the altitude.
- Star Coin 2 The second coin is located between two long tubes. Again, the same game, either you use the Koopa Troopas or the Propeller suit to reach the coin.
- Star Coin 3 The third coin is somewhat hidden. Immediately after the checkpoint flag you have to go on the rotating wheel and jump left into the dead end. There is a pipe hidden there that leads you underground. At the bottom there is the Star Coin on the right, which can be reached either by using the Wall Jump or by using the Propeller Suit.
World 1-Castle
- Star Coin 1 The first Star Coin is after the fourth gearwheel. Use a tooth to jump to get to the coin.
- Star Coin 2 When you’re at the Wuumps, you need to go to the first big one. This destroys a few blocks and thus clears the way to the coin. Grab the coin and duck so you don’t get crushed.
- Star Coin 3 Shortly before the door to the boss you see two tubes again. With the help of the gear you can get to the green and use this too. In the new area, you use the P Switch and run over the blocks. Jump against the wall to get to the coin.
- Shortly after the first Star Coin, two gears come to abut each other. Jump on a tooth from the top gear and you reach a secret area. Up there you will find some coins and a Propeller Suit.
