In our Donkey Kong Bananza complete solution for the Forest Layer, we show you all the secrets of the sub-levels SL600 to SL602. In this huge, densely overgrown layer, high treetops, dangerous thorn fields, the Hotel Ovoliere, poisoned marshes and numerous hidden islands await you.
The Forest Layer is also particularly important because you unlock the Ostrich Bananza here. With her, Donkey Kong can glide through the air, use upwinds and drop egg bombs. You need this ability not only for the main story, but also for numerous hidden banandium gems.
In total, Forest Layer has 83 Banandium sites and 72 fossils. Our solution takes you through all challenges, hidden spaces, the feather bog and the final battle against Abracajabya. With the checklist you can tick off each Fund directly.
Forest Layer – Main Route & Ostrich Bananza
After your decision at the fork you land on SL600. First follow the path over the tree roots and seed bridges to Pagenstedt and then to the large hotel Ovoliere.
Ostrich Bananza unlocked
In the hotel you will meet the Ostrich Elder. Before she gives you her Bananza power, you have to find the parts of the antique record.
- Search the different floors of the hotel.
- Remove void terrain and thorns in the lower areas.
- Find both records and return them to the elder.
- After playing the record, you learn the Ostrich Bananza.
In this form you can glide and use winds. Later, egg bombs can also be used to destroy obstacles from the air.
Mort and poisonous plants
On SL601, the Federfarn-Moor awaits you. Large parts are initially under toxic water. Successively destroy the three poison plants to lower the level further and further.
This opens up new paths, challenges, fossils and banandium gems. Only after all three plants have been destroyed can you fully explore the area.
Defeat Abracajabya
On SL602 you finally reach the big sinkhole. There is Abracajabya waiting. Use the Ostrich Bananza, winds and egg bombs to bypass its thorns and protective mechanisms.
After victory, the further path to the node opens. The Junction

For complete completion of the Forest Layer, your checklist should display the following values at the end:
- Banandium Gems: 83 / 83
- Fossils: 72 / 72
- Total: 155 / 155
Especially easy to miss are the nine postgame jewels of the Ostrich Bananza sample, which become accessible only after the main story and with at least 400 Banandium Gems.
