Redpepper Volcano

Paper Mario: Color Splash guide hub

Go to Redpepper Volcano and march and jump all the way to the right until the draggadon awakens. Escape back to the beginning of the area and hide in the niche to avoid the fire attacks of the monster. Wait for one of his attacks, go to him and press the cut button. Remove the rectangle above his head and place the basin in the gap from Fort Cobalt. This pops on Draggadon’s head, whereupon you jump on his thick bump. Mario will automatically unpack the Fishing Pole and the Magma Burger, which you also purchased at Fort Cobalt, and use them together as bait for the Draggadon.

You can now move over the lava lake and should first of all head to the platform at the rear right. Jump to the snifits and talk to the two of them. Go through the door and stay away from the pimple bugs in the next area. Just try to march past them as much as possible and do not stop when they curl up and attack. If it comes to the fight anyway, then you need a few powerful hammer attacks to defeat them.

Run across the bridge and continue to avoid stopping somewhere. Otherwise, you will have to deal with the Lava Blubs, which will ward off any ordinary jump attack and turn any wooden hammer into ashes. Attack with iron boots or ice flowers instead.

Hops behind the bridge onto the elevated platform and walks through the door for a first glimpse of the red star. Stand at the end of the platform to your right and try to fish, although Draggadon does not appear due to lack of lava. Therefore turns around, runs further to the right in the previous area and tries again to avoid various pimple beetles and lava blubs.

Grab the double hammer hammer card that lies dormant in the question mark pad and walk through the door. Save and sneak the wall to your right. Next, you have to jump across several gaps, avoiding both the pimple bugs and the lava flowing down from above. If there is still a collision and you plunge into the depths, then you have to march all the way to the left, run up the ramp and run to the right to get back to the Save Block.

Go to the first gap and wait until the Buzzy Beetle is on the far right. Jump over the first two gaps, jump against the question mark block and stand at the edge of the third gap. Wait until the Buzzy Beetle marches all the way to the left, climbs over the edge and shortly afterwards flows a barrage of lava from the Blanket. Jump quickly over the next two gaps and jump against another question mark block.

Fall through the gap to your left where you see several coins and sneak back to the right. Wait until you can safely jump to the next platform and follow the bugs to the other end of the platform. Wait for the lava when a few drops are rolling from the blanket, and jump to the safe ground to your right.

For the last two gaps you need a special timing: Wait until the middle of the three Buzzy Beetle reaches the left edge and at the same time a surge of lava flows from the Blanket. Then jump over the gap and flee to the other side.

Run under the fuzzies and stop in front of the Kuhle. During the rest of the way, pay attention to the level of the lava and only keep running when it lowers. Go through the door, jump against the question mark block and go as far to the right as possible. Jumps from one platform to the next while avoiding the lava Blub and Koopas. Go all the way to the right on the other side and march down the ramp to your left.

Enter the white area, which, unlike the lava, does not harm you, and march as far to the left as possible. You are now on a “spot” that you have to color as usual. The problem, however, is that shortly afterwards it turns into hot lava and harms you. So you have to color the spot from left to right and jump on the ramp as soon as it starts to blink.

Then stand on the stairs and throw your fishing rod. Jump on the draggadon and destroy all platforms. Move on to the right and hop on the narrow path. Run as close as possible to the wall to avoid the lava blubs falling from the blanket and color another white spot inside the lava at the other end. Return and direct Draggadon to the rear left stairs. Jump off, talk to the snifit and loot the question mark block.

Enter the next area and color the pipe. Stand all the way to the left, press the cut button and remove the stone above the bottle. Drop the Bottle Opener card you found in the Golden Colorseum and climb into the tube. Stand on the right side of the platform, sail for Draggadon and go to the rear right for the stalactites.

Jump up to free the red savior Toad and drop him on the platform from which you last called Draggadon. Then collect all coins and grab the red color star further back. This opens the way to Redpepper Crater.Redpepper Crater

Give Draggadon the Magma Burger as a reward and return to Fort Cobalt to buy a new one at the café. You do not have to walk through the entire building, but can take the shortcut you unlocked after the release of the hidden Rescue Squad. Go again to the Redpepper Volcano, sail to Draggadon in the first area and head to the platform on the front right, on which there is a purple color star.
