Grape is the last boss of Princess Peach: Showtime! You need 30 Sparkle Gems to open the door. You have to do all levels in the 4. Upstairs and finish all 10 in the basement.
In the boss fight of Grape you can act as Radiant Princess Peach!
Stage 1: Bright Peachy Princess Peach-Bullet-Hell
The first stage of the fight against Madame Grape is quite straightforward, especially for fans of Bullet Hell games: continually shoot at them as soon as their servants are out of the way and avoid the falling objects. In this phase, Madame Grape ignites fireworks over Princess Peach, raining down ever-greater gifts and sending trains across the screen horizontally.
These attacks are relatively easy to bypass because they are announced a few seconds in advance – by fireworks smoke, glowing gifts or the lights of the trains. With enough attention, players have enough time to avoid the dangers.
Stage 2: Kid Icarus meets Princess Peach
After it looks like you defeated Madame Grape, she reappears in a surprising finale. It grows to gigantic size and destroys the theater. Don’t worry though – Stella and the Theets amplify Princess Peach with extra radiant energy, catapulting you into an action-packed battle sequence reminiscent of Kid Icarus: Uprising.
You must now shoot repeatedly at Madame Grape’s golden mask as you fly around the screen and dodge the incoming projectiles. As a Bright Princess Peach, you have great mobility, so it should be easier for you to escape the huge grape projectiles. However, the more damage you do to her, Madame Grape will shoot down more complex grape patterns and eventually use powerful multi-ray attacks.
As in the first phase, all of these attacks are well-announced, so if you stay alert and keep firing at Madame Grape’s mask, you should get through well. Finally, you unleash a massive beam attack that finally defeats Madame Grape. The game *Princess Peach: Showtime!* ends while the credits run through a newly built theater.
Challenges
After completing the game, you can challenge Grape again in the lobby of the ground floor. There are three challenges you can try during the rematch, and you can get Sparkle Gems if you pass them.
- 1. Crystal: In the first phase you will find the first Sparkle Gem between the gaps of the dancers.
- 2. Crystal: Survive the first phase without conceding a hit.
- 3. Crystal: Defeat Grape without conceding a hit.
