The Dark Museum & the Purple Mystery

Princess Peach: Showtime! guide hub

Complete The Dark Museum & the Purple Mystery in Princess Peach: Showtime! and collect the Sparkle Gems and ribbon. When you return after finishing the story, look for the three hidden Ninja Theets as well.

We will show you where to find all 5 Sparkle Gems, how to get the multi-color detective Ribbon of the Ribboner, in what order you have to examine the exhibits and how to expose the real detective Sparkla and the false auxiliary detective.

After completing the main story, you can re-enter the play and search for the hidden Ninja Theets.

Locations of the Sparkle Gems

In The Dark Museum & the Purple Mystery you can find a total of 5 Sparkle Gems. Unlike in most plays, you hardly have to fight here. Instead, you search the museum for clues and solve several investigation puzzles.

You get four Sparkle Gems for properly solved cases. The fourth crystal is in a secret pose room and can be easily overlooked.

# Location
1 In the first large exhibition area you have to examine four exhibits based on the circles or points in the right order. Use the flash of inspiration first at the antique sparkling relief, then at the pink crystal, then at the golden face statue and finally at the water urn. This opens the closed door and you get the first Sparkle Gem.
2 Behind the door you meet four alleged detective Theets. The real detective is the third from the left or the second from the right. He has an orange nose and, unlike the copies, behaves calmly and confidently. Expose him with the flash of inspiration to receive the second Sparkle Gem.
3 Later you will cross two almost identical exhibition rooms. Compare the first room with the photo of the second. The key difference is the magnifying glass on a crate. Examine the magnifying glass in the original room with the flash of imagination. The secret passageway opens and you get the third Sparkle Gem.
4 Immediately after the puzzle with the two almost identical rooms you reach an area with a blue carpet and yellow border. Before you go through the next passage, pose on the sparkling spot. Open the Crate on the left in the secret room to collect the fourth Sparkle Gem.
5 On the roof of the museum, the detective Sparkla interrogates his assistant detective. His answers reveal that he belongs to the Sauertruppe. Use the flash of mind with the wrong auxiliary detective. After its exposure, the real exit opens and you get the fifth Sparkle Gem.

Location of the ribbon

The multi-colored detective Ribbon can be found in the room with the four large face or nose statues.

For the main puzzle, the statues must first point straight ahead. Before you finally leave the room, however, you turn all four statues so that their noses point to the left.

Then use the elevator on the right. On the upper platform, the ribboner is waiting next to a treasure chest.

Talk to him to get the multi-color detective Ribbon for Stella.

Rewards Location Task
Multicolored detective Ribbon Upper platform in the room with the four face figures Turn all four statues to the left and then drive up with the right lift.

Investigating the Suspicious Museum

Detective Princess Peach begins the play in its transformation. The detective Sparkla is held somewhere in the museum and almost all visitors behave suspiciously.

Several alleged museum visitors try to get Princess Peach to leave the building. In fact, they are disguised members of the Sauertruppe.

Debunk the first villain

Follow the path to the right and talk to the visitors. In front of the next door is a Sparkla with a large hat, which blocks Princess Peach’s path.

His statements do not fit the situation in the museum. Examine him and use your brain flash.

The visitor turns out to be a villain of the Sauertruppe. After its exposure, you can enter the next exhibition area.

Note: Declaration
Unusual statements Suspicious visitors claim that everything is fine in the museum, even though the detective Sparkla has disappeared.
Blocked path The visitor with the big hat blocks the door and must be exposed for the further course.
Mind flash Use it only when Princess Peach stands directly in front of the suspect.
False accusation During a false brain flash, Princess Peach loses a heart.

Examining the four exhibits correctly

In the next area, the doors close in front of and behind Princess Peach. At the same time, a note of the detective sparkle is blown into the room.

The note states that four exhibits are connected. The number of circles or round embellishments determines their order.

Before you can completely solve the puzzle, you must first expose the hidden golden face statue.

Examining the pink crystal

In front of the large pink crystal stands an alleged visitor. It prevents Princess Peach from checking the exhibit properly.

Examine the visitor with the flash of mind. He turns out to be another villain in disguise and disappears.

After that, the pink crystal is accessible for the later sequence puzzle.

Exposing the face statue

Go into the room on the right. There are four large stone figures with long noses.

Turn all four statues so that they look straight ahead to the camera. If all heads are aligned correctly, a wall or showcase opens and releases a golden face statue.

Objective Orientation
Uncovering Golden Statue for the Main Mystery All four heads look straight ahead.
Reaching ribbons All four heads look to the left.

You can turn the heads again after the main puzzle. Get the ribbon at the latest before you leave the exhibition area.

Correct order of exhibits

Return to the previous rooms and examine the four exhibits with the flash of inspiration.

The correct order is:

  1. Ancient sparkling relief: The exhibit has a circle.
  2. Pink Crystal: Under or in him you recognize two circles.
  3. Golden face statue: It stands for three circles.
  4. Water urine: The vessel has four circular ornaments.
Order Exhibit Identifier
1 Ancient sparkling relief A circle
2 Pink crystal Two circles
3 Golden face statue Three circles
4 Water urine Four circles

Once you have examined all the exhibits in the correct order, the closed doors open. You will also receive the first Sparkle Gem.

Real detective Sparkla

In the next room, the alleged auxiliary detective is waiting. He claims to have found four different detective Theets.

Only one of them is real. Talk to all four characters and pay attention to their statements and behavior.

The Right Figure

The real detective Sparkla is the third from the left. Counted from the right side, it is the second.

He has an orange nose and is self-confident. The other characters make contradictory, exaggerated or suspicious statements.

Position Result
First from the left False detective
Second from the left False detective
Third from the left Real detective Sparkla
Fourth from the left False detective

Use the flash of the third detective. His disguise or imprisonment is dissolved and he joins Princess Peach.

For the successful rescue you will receive the second Sparkle Gem.

Mysteries of identical rooms

Princess Peach and the detective Sparkla enter a red exhibition room with several objects. At the other end, however, the path seems to end in a dead end.

Go back through the door. The previous room now looks almost exactly like the room you just left.

The detective Sparkla takes a photo of the second version and hangs it in the first room. Compare the picture with the actual objects.

Finding the missing magnifying glass

The key difference is a magnifying glass on a crate.

In the photo of the modified version this item is missing. Therefore, return to the original room and examine the magnifying glass with the flash of imagination.

Subject matter Result
Vases and vessels Standing in both rooms.
Boxes and furniture They are arranged almost identically.
Lupe on the Crate Missing in the second room version and is therefore the solution.

After the right flash of imagination, a secret passageway opens. You get the third Sparkle Gem and can continue the escape.

Hidden pose location

In The Dark Museum & the Purple Mystery there is a sparkling pose spot. It is located immediately after the puzzle with the almost identical rooms.

Posing before passage

After the third Sparkle Gem, follow the open path. On the floor is a striking blue carpet with a yellow border.

Over the carpet, several stars sparkle. Put Princess Peach in the middle and press ZL or ZR.

There are several boxes in the secret room. Go to the left and open or examine the crate there.

In it is the fourth Sparkle Gem. Then return to the museum via the luminous pose spot.

Debunking the false auxiliary detective

On the roof of the museum, Princess Peach and the detective Sparkla meet the auxiliary detective again.

He claims to have found the exit. However, the detective Sparkla is suspicious and asks his alleged assistant three control questions.

Question about the sofa pillows

The detective claims to want to buy new Pillow for the sofa in his office. The auxiliary detective suggests purple Pillow.

The answer is suspicious, since the sofa already has brown Pillow. A real assistant would need to know the setup of the office.

Question about the meeting date

The second question concerns a meeting at 9 a.m. The auxiliary detective claims that you have to appear exactly at 9:00.

In an earlier case, however, he himself stated that a good detective should always come five minutes earlier. The correct answer would have been 8:55 a.m.

Questions about Madame Grape

Finally, the detective asks Sparkla about Grape.

The assistant detective reverently refers to her as Madame Grape. In doing so, he finally betrays his connection to the Sauertruppe.

Question Suspected response Objection
What paint should the sofa pillows have? Purple The sofa already has brown pillow.
When should you show up for an appointment at 9:00? Exactly at 9:00 The real assistant would come five minutes earlier.
What do you think of Grape? He calls her Madame Grape. The respectful address betrays his belonging to the Sauertruppe.

After the interrogation, use your brain flash with the help detective.

He turns into a villain of the Sauertruppe and the wrong outcome disappears. At the same time, the real way out of the museum is uncovered.

For the clarification of the case, you will receive the fifth Sparkle Gem and complete the play.

After Completion: Find the Ninja Theets

Upon completion of the main story, you can re-enter the play to find the hidden Ninja Theets.

Since it is a short play in the basement, only one Theet is hidden here.

# Location
1 The Theet is located in the exhibition room with the four large face or nose statues. Look right next to the outermost statue at the treasure chest. He disguises himself suitably to the stone museum backdrop.

Searching for statue puzzles

Enter the room with the four rotating heads and go all the way to the right.

Next to the outermost statue is a treasure chest. The Theet is located directly in this area and can easily be confused with the statues because of its grey camouflage.

Speak to him before solving the puzzle with your heads or leaving the room via the elevator.
