Complete The Dark Depths & the Swirling Currents in Princess Peach: Showtime! and collect the Sparkle Gems and ribbon. When you return after finishing the story, look for the three hidden Ninja Theets as well.

Locations of the Sparkle Gems
In The Dark Depths & the Swirling Currents you can find a total of 5 Sparkle Gems. The play begins in a strong ocean current through which numerous shells and boulders float.
First you have to enlarge a flock of fish and thus free the captured Mermaid Sparkla. This is followed by a rapid passage through the flow. You get the last two crystals during a joint singing performance.

Location of the ribbon
The multi-colored mermaid ribbon can already be obtained in the first area.
After taking over the first glowing fish, watch the shells floating through the picture from right to left. Between them is a smaller shell, from which a call for help can be heard.
Direct the flock of fish to this shell and open it. The ribboner is included therein.
As a thank you, he gives you the multi-colored mermaid ribbon for Stella.

Ribbons not overlooked
The clam with the ribboner moves relatively quickly through the area. Therefore, hold the crush of fish near Princess Peach and watch the top half of the screen.
Free the ribboner before you open the second giant shell. After the rescue of the mermaid Theets, the next section begins and you cannot return.
Hidden pose location
In The Dark Depths & the Swirling Currents, there is a sparkling pose spot. It’s on the far right in the first area.

Posing Before Rescuing the Theets
Swimming completely to the right in the starting area. On the bottom of the sea lie several starfish in a striking circle.
Put Princess Peach in the middle and press ZL or ZR. In the secret room, a small swarm of glowing fish awaits.
Hold the singing button until the fish respond to Princess Peach. Then steer them up to the shell in the middle of the room.
Once the shell has been opened, you can collect the first Sparkle Gem. Then leave the secret room via the luminous pose location.
Increase the fish population
Initially, Mermaid Princess Peach has only a small group of five fish. This allows the smaller shells to be opened, but their strength is not yet sufficient for the huge shells.
Several yellowish shells float from right to left through the area. They contain other fish.
Small mussels open first
Hold the singing button and direct the entire swarm to a passing shell.
Stay with the fish briefly on the shell until it is fully opened. The released fish automatically join the group.
Repeat the process until a total of about 15 fish swim behind Princess Peach.

Keeping fish together
Move the stick in quiet paths. Rapid changes of direction can cause part of the swarm to fall behind Princess Peach.
Collect the fish as closely as possible in front of a shell. As a result, they react faster and open the target more reliably.
Observing mussels in the background
The large shells move in pairs through the background. They are significantly larger than the shells with the additional fish.
Don’t just open the first big shell and continue swimming afterwards. The Mermaid Sparkla is located in the second giant shell.
Freeing the Mermaid Sparkla
Once the crush of fish is large enough, you can take care of the two giant shells.
Guide all fish to the first shell and wait until it opens. Then immediately take the swarm to the second large shell.
In it, the Mermaid Sparkla is trapped. Keep the fish on the shell until the shells completely separate.
The liberated Sparkla hands Princess Peach the second Sparkle Gem.
Get all collectibles before
After the rescue, Princess Peach tries to continue swimming together with Mermaid Sparkla. However, the flow suddenly becomes stronger.
This starts an automatically running section. Therefore, be sure to:
- The first Sparkle Gem from the pose site
- The Multicolored Mermaid Ribbon
- Possible coins from other shellfish
After the start of the strong current, you cannot return to the starting area.
Swimming through the dark current
Princess Peach and Mermaid Sparkla are being pushed backwards by the ever-increasing current.
If both figures remain, they automatically drive towards the left edge of the screen. Therefore, constantly swim forward and avoid the obstacles early.
Avoid rocks and sea urchins
Several boulders, sea urchins and snail-shaped debris float through the current.
When Princess Peach touches an obstacle, she loses a heart and is briefly thrown back. In the case of several hits in succession, it can thus be pushed to the left edge of the screen.

Not swimming permanently on the right edge
First of all, it is safe to swim as far to the right as possible. However, new rocks appear there partly without long warning.
Instead, stay a little to the right of the middle of the screen. This gives you enough time to react to obstacles above and below Princess Peach.
Third Sparkle Gem not missed
The third Sparkle Gem lies during the automatically occurring flow passage.
After swimming past a sea urchin, a large snail-shaped piece of rock or debris appears.
The direct safe path seems to lead above the obstacle. Instead, swim down and move through under the rock.
This is where the third Sparkle Gem hovers.

The five strudel calming
At the end of the current, Princess Peach and the Mermaid Sparkla reach five massive strudel.
A single song is not enough to stop them. Both mermaids must sing together and lead the fish between their voices.
Common singing
Princess Peach stands on one side of the area, the Mermaid Sparkla on the other. Fish swim from different directions between the two figures.
Move the stick in the direction from which a fish reaches Princess Peach. As a result, the corresponding tone is sung and the fish lights up.

Every successful tone sequence calms a part of the flow. The vortexes do not all disappear at the same time.
Stay calm and watch only the fish swimming immediately towards Princess Peach. The Mermaid Sparkla independently takes over the tones on his side.
Fourth Sparkle Gem
After successfully completing the first three vocals, three of the five strudels disappear.
The Mermaid Sparkla rewards Princess Peach with the fourth Sparkle Gem.
The performance is not over yet. Two particularly strong vortexes remain and must also be calmed down.
The last two strudels
In the final vocals, the fish appear faster and more frequently from changing directions.
Large fish require longer tones. Hold the stick in their direction until they have completely passed Princess Peach and light up visibly.
Only then switch to the next fish. Too early a change of direction can cause the long tone not to be fully evaluated.
Fifth Sparkle Gem Received
Once all five vortexes have disappeared, the current normalizes in the dark depths.
Princess Peach and Mermaid Sparkla finish their song together. For the successful performance you get the fifth Sparkle Gem.
This concludes the play and saves the Mermaid Sparkla.
After Completion: Find the Ninja Theets
Upon completion of the main story, you can re-enter the play to find the hidden Ninja Theets.
Since it is a short play in the basement, only one Theet is hidden here.
