Complete A Kung Fu Tale in Princess Peach: Showtime! and collect the Sparkle Gems and ribbon. When you return after finishing the story, look for the three hidden Ninja Theets as well.
Locations of the Sparkle Gems
In A Kung Fu Tale you can find a total of 10 Sparkle Gems. Some crystals lie off the direct path, while you get others for successful battles or collecting several sparkle fragments.
Pay particular attention to the areas before and after Princess Peach’s transformation. For the second Sparkle Gem you have to run back a short distance after the transformation.
| # | Location |
|---|---|
| 1 | At the beginning, the path leads you through a small village. In front of a building, several Theets are threatened by three members of the Sauertruppe. Use Princess Peach’s sparkling power to drive out opponents. Enter the building and walk to the right. There you will find the first Sparkle Gem. |
| 2 | After Princess Peach has received her Kung Fu transformation, you should not immediately move to the right. Instead, run back to the left to the two training bars. Jump to the left or second rotatable rod and destroy it with a strong kick. As a result, the second Sparkle Gem. |
| 3 | Return to the Great Locked Gate. To the left of the gate are two large boulders. Destroy both with Kung-Fu-Peachs attacks. Behind the rocks hides the third Sparkle Gem. |
| 4 | On the bridge you meet for the first time the great kung fu master of the Sauertruppe. Wait for his attacks and counter at the right moment. After you defeat him and he retreats, you get the fourth Sparkle Gem. |
| 5 | After the first fight you reach a market with several stalls. Destroy the obstacles and jump on the roof of the second stand. The fifth Sparkle Gem floats above the roof and can be collected with a well-timed jump. |
| 6 | Shortly after the market you have to jump over several narrow pillars. A total of eight sparkling crystal fragments are distributed on the columns. Move quickly from one pillar to the next as some platforms disappear after a short time. If you collect all eight fragments, the sixth Sparkle Gem is created. |
| 7 | After the semicircular battlefield follows another section with several columns. There are a total of six opponents waiting for you. Jump from pillar to pillar and defeat all six with targeted kicks. Then you get the seventh Sparkle Gem. |
| 8 | As you climb over the mountain, you reach an area with a rotating pole and a sparkling pose spot on the dark stone floor. Pose there and enter the secret room. Jump on the pole and hurl up to reach the eighth Sparkle Gem on the raised platform. |
| 9 | Eight sparkling crystal fragments are again distributed in the region with the two superposed rotating rods. Use the poles to hurl you up. Alternatively, you can first take the higher path on the right and then jump to the left to the fragments. For all eight fragments you get the ninth Sparkle Gem. |
| 10 | At the end of the play you will once again compete against the great kung fu master of the Sauertruppe. Counter his attacks until he is dazed and then attacks him several times. After the victory you will receive the tenth Sparkle Gem. |
Location of the ribbon
The ribbon can be found shortly before the last section with the eight sparkling crystal fragments. In this region, two rotatable rods stand one above the other.
Jump to the upper level with the help of the lower rod and then move all the way to the right. There the path is blocked by a large boulder.
Destroy the rock with Kung Fu Peachs attacks. Behind it is the ribboner. Once you free him, he hands you the Kung Fu Ribbon.
| Rewards | Location | Task |
|---|---|---|
| Kung-fu-Ribbon | Region with the two superimposed rotating rods | Jump to the upper level, go all the way to the right and destroy the big rock at the Ribboner. |
Kung Fu Attacks and Exams
Princess Peach’s Kung Fu Transformation
Before Princess Peach gets her kung fu powers, you have to go through several small exams. Opens the door to the training chamber with Stella’s sparkling power and then crosses the swinging tree trunks.
After the transformation, Kung Fu Princess Peach can defeat opponents with blows and kicks, destroy large rocks and break down heavy goals.
| Action | Note: |
|---|---|
| Normal attack | Uses the Attack button near an opponent to perform a quick strike or kick. |
| Jumping attack | Jumps and attacks in the air to hit higher level opponents or objects. |
| Destroying rocks | Attacks large boulders several times. Behind some rocks are hidden Sparkle Gems or the Ribboner. |
| Opening large gates | Stand right in front of the obstacle and perform several kung fu attacks in a row. |
Use rotatable rods
Kung Fu Princess Peach can perform particularly strong spin attacks on the long rods in the ground. Jump on a pole to get Princess Peach to hold onto it and turn around it.
Press the jump or attack button at the right moment to push yourself off the pole. This allows you to cross large gaps, reach elevated platforms and hit multiple enemies at once.
| Situation | Procedure |
|---|---|
| Multiple opponents around a pole | Jump on the pole and stay on it for a moment. The spinning attack hits all enemies near Peachs. |
| High platform | Jumps when Princess Peach swings up or towards the platform. |
| Two rods one above the other | Use the lower rod first and jump from there directly to the upper one. |
| Sparkling fragments | Before jumping, check where the next fragment is. Some pillars and rods can only be used once. |
Jumping over the disappearing pillars
In several sections you have to jump over narrow pillars. Some pillars descend or disappear after Princess Peach lands on them.
Therefore, do not stay long. Direct Princess Peach to the next pillar during the jump and attack opponents in the air if possible.
| Tip | Declaration |
|---|---|
| Staying moving | Some pillars disappear shortly after landing. Jump to the next platform immediately. |
| Meeting opponents in the jump | Perform the kick before Princess Peach lands on the pillar. This will make you lose less time. |
| Observe fragments first | Look at the distribution of sparkling crystal fragments before you start the section. |
| Do not jump back unnecessarily | Multiple pillars cannot be re-entered after the first contact. |
Fighting the Kung Fu Master
The great kung fu master of the Sauertruppe meets her twice. The first fight takes place on a bridge, while the second duel begins at the end of the play.
You should not attack continuously. The master fights off ordinary blows and can directly counter Princess Peach.
Defend attacks at the right moment
Wait until the opponent prepares his attack. Shortly before the hit, a clear signal appears and you hear a metallic sound.
Press the attack button at this moment. Kung Fu Princess Peach blocks the attack and throws the opponent off balance.
| Boss action | Reaction |
|---|---|
| Master prepares a blow | Wait and do not attack immediately. |
| Circuit or signal contracts | Presses the attack button as soon as the displayed moment is reached. |
| Metallic noise | The sound indicates the right time for your counter. |
| Master is dazed | Presses the attack button several times to execute a longer strike combination. |
First fight
In the first duel, a successful episode of counterattacks is enough. Defends his attacks until he is dazed and then performs several strikes in a row.
The master is thrown off the bridge, but can escape. For the victory you will receive the fourth Sparkle Gem.
Last battle
In the training building you have to use the same technique again. The opponent attacks faster this time and changes to the roof after the first combination with Princess Peach.
Stay patient and pay attention again to the sound and the shrinking circle. After another successful counter, you can defeat the master with a final strike combination.
For the victory you will receive the tenth Sparkle Gem and complete the play.
Hidden pose spots
In addition to the pose room with the eighth Sparkle Gem, you will find other sparkling spots that lead to small bonus rooms with coins.

All three Theet are in the first part of the play before Princess Peach receives her kung fu transformation. Therefore, search the starting area thoroughly and do not run for them after the transformation.
| # | Location |
|---|---|
| 1 | The first Theet hides directly at the beginning in front of the large gray staircase. Search the area at the foot of the stairs before following the Theets to the mountain path. |
| 2 | The second Theet is located on the village square after the Kung Fu disciplines show you the way across the mountain. He camouflages himself in front of a banner right next to the Sparkla with the balloons. |
